Check out this build and walk around video of my ovrlnd trailer. I'm no vlogger or trailer professional by any means, but this was a fun build and I thought I'd share and maybe help someone else with their project. Subscride for more upcoming videos regarding this build. Thanks.

Welcome to the Ovrlnd East Channel. We're a small group of overlanding, jeep, enthusiast in the foothills of North Carolina. We enjoy getting out, exploring and meeting other jeepers and overlanders. Our mission is to outfit our rigs, get off the grid and away from the norm. Follow us to see what we get into and hopefully we can inspire you to get out there as well.
Ground clearance determined by the axle and tyres. Only. Flipping the axle did absolutely nothing to alter the ground clearance. Bigger tyres is the only way to change the ground clearance.
I bought a 4x4 utility trailer and going to build something close to yours, camping, and to carry my paddle boards. Really like your design of your off road trailer 👌.
That looks great. Well done.
Fun!
I was going to go the military cargo trailer route but this seems more of what I’m going for. Thank you. Amazing build sir.
Very nice. Awesome to see young men learning to build something besides typing skills on the phone😂
Amazing video!!! Feel like we lived through yall. I feel blessed to know yall got to live out one of your dreams...bucket list. Band of brothers, such an amazing group of guys!! Love u guys!!!❤
Good job on the build guys. Great ideas for my future build.
You music is way to load. I keep having to turn down. So I had to mute.
This is great! My dad and our uncles took my brother and I camping when we were kids and I have so many fond memories. Now we take the old guys camping :-)
Stumbled on this video. Looking at making a build like this for my daughter and I to start camping. Do you know the weight by chance?
Can you please put link for the wheels and tires??
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey buddy great video and the best explaining ive heard! Best part is you and your boys spending priceless time together and please tell them im proud of them too! Ive got a 4x6 toughest little trailer ive ever seen build that small. I dont know who built it but boy did they build it tough. Its got a solid sheet of steel floor in it i brlieve is 1/8 inch thick but it actualy maybe thicker. I was going to do what yall have done and then a buddy put a topper on me so i changed my mind with trailer and then another buddy put a round 70 or 71 Scottys camper on me so o changed plans again and then another buddy throwed a old 2 horse horse trailer on me so i changed AGAIN and i said NO more. So now im selling Scotty cqmper and horse trailer. Im going to do inside topper and build a overland trailer like yall with 4x6. Ive watched many videos but i couldnt figure out what type frame to use and most use tube steel. But you using angle is exactly what i need to do so thanks for that and many other ideas. I aint never done this so if you dont mind could spare one of your boys to come help and then It shouldnt take no time with them being experienced i sure would preciate it. By now i pray yall have had countless great days! Thanks and Happy Trails to yall!
very nice! how much would you sell one like that?
One of the auxbeam 6 gang switch panels are awesome for allowing you to easily organize your electrical setup. That's what we did for our m416. We put in it a tongue box with the battery
Love it
Nice build!
👍👍👍
Whats the bolt pattern on the wheels? I have this same trailer.
Sold the trailer but I think they were 5x4.5
Ok thank you
Have you had any tire wear, since you flipped the axle ?
Hey there. Sold the trailer last year but hadn’t noticed any tire issues at that time.
Do you have a build sheet of the specs?
I am curious, how is your plywood holding up? I'm considering what type of skin to do with mine. Awesome videos! Thank you so very much, I am sure I have seen you at Overland East!
Sold it last year but it was working great when I got rid of it.
what was roughly total cost?
Great joh on your trailer
Thanks for sharing! Thinking maybe to take on a similar project with my son. Good stuff!
That is one nice build for sure!
Nice build!!!
Did you just rotate the axle 180 and remount it? There is a natural bend in the axle and you are supposed to attach new perches on the top and keep the axle the same without rotating it to maintain the bend that is in the axle. The bend has a purpose to level the axle under load. Have you experienced any issues like uneven tire wear or it not tracking correctly?
Bro, that looks good. I like it. What are the wheels? Where did you get them?
Great build and along some great back round zeppelin, yeah.
Great build!
Looks like you had a lot of space around your site. We were along the edge of the track, and kind of felt packed in, still OEE was a great time.
Awesome. You're so humble, smart, and easy to listen to. And what a precious way to involve the kids. They obviously took great interest and pride in the family project. Thanks a bunch for sharing on here -- encouraging to me... that maybe even a girl could do it! 😃
What hinges are those? Looking for some for my own build.
I LOVE IT! ❤ AMAZING!
The weatherstripping is on backwards! The foam goes on the outside. Nice trailer BTW~
You are correct. But it wouldn’t work that way. Had to improvise. Still had no leaks.
1:49 the good ol days when gas was less than $3 a gallon😩
awesome job my man.
The boys are using a grinder without safety glasses. Too young to lose an eye. Get on it dad!
I thought I was looking at safety glasses 🤔
Hey Karen, take a closer look, they have on safety glasses!🤦🏻♂️
I were you flipped it to the bottom of the Springs right there? Where the u boats go up. You could actually get you a plate of metal and actually drop that down with longer. You both put a couple of pieces of metal there, and then you can drop that whole thing down with you both just copy the top plate. The same metal plate did you both go in? Copy it onto another piece of metal and then stack your metal up. Get longer view bowls and then raise it up there you are.
het there good job, going to build one myself, just one thing, the weather strip is on the wrong way, soft side to the door surface.
I'd really like to hear how you feel about the strength of using flat bar steel. I'm going to do a build, and given the platform I'm working with, flat bar would be a lot easier to use. Most of these trailers seem to use square tube. How's this thing holding up? Anything you'd change?
You make it look so easy. What a great project to do with your boys. I hope you get years of enjoyment!
I used the Timbren wheel spindles to have ground clearance in the center of my trailer.
Nice trailer. Kinda looks like your weather stripping is on backwards???
Great job guys, time well spent making great memories.
Super cool well done
Great video
How has the plywood held up? Planning my own trailer and trying to figure out the material for the walls, floor, etc. thanks! Trailer looks great
