TROUT Fishing the Dream Stream/Eleven Mile Reservoir. Camping Adventures (9/04/2024).
Skipped the crowd and spent some quality time in the mountains. The weather tried to keep us down, but when you're wearing JORTS... you feel like Superman! Go cut up some JORTS and ride the lightning!

North Catamount Reservoir, has always been a special place for me and my family. Due to limitations, the only way to get there currently, is to hike in through the back side of Woodland Park. We loaded up the gear and headed out to catch some beautiful scenery and hook some fish on da lips! We caught all the fish on 🐓 tails and Pistol Pete's (ol Petey Pablo). Fished the South Slope Recreation area on the backside of Pikes Peak, located in Colorado. We hiked a few miles to Mason Reservoir to fish for some Cutthroat Trout. The drive, hike and fish were amazing! Jorts N Fishin was out there doin it AGAIN! We were fishing Tarryall Reservoir in Colorado and it was a fish filled day full of little stockers. It was a beautiful day on the lake! The sun was out and so were the JORTS! The ice cold beers were going down just as fast as the tips of our poles. We decided to do some lazy fishing and just bait fish. We caught all fish on a Carolina rig using Powerbait. Enjoy the video and untill next time..... @@richieapodaca4100 it's on the north side, west of the marina. We usually fish rocking chair as well, but just been to lazy to drive back there.
What rod and reel are you working with
@@kovarikj21 it's a Lews 6' PowerUltra Light, fast action (LL60ULS). The reel is a Pflueger President SP20. It's one of my favorite setups.

Looks like a solid trip! I've fished up in the canyon and the dream stream a million times but never fished the lake. I need to go spend some time on that water too! Was that spot you camped at one of the campgrounds around the lake or did you find dispersed areas to camp? Very nice!
@@daveclark1904 I'd like to fish the canyon and dream stream more often. It was dispersed camping in the national forest nearby.

I’m heading out there in around 2 weeks! Got any tips for what lures/bait to use and how I should fish it?
We caught all the fish using a Carolina rig with about a 2 foot leader due to all the weeds. We used garlic rainbow Powerbait. We fished the west side of the lake, but the shore is very limited due to water levels. Hookm' on da lip!

Haven’t crushed antero on bait in years, I have switched to just lure fishing. If you don’t mind me asking how did you rig the bait?
Carolina rig with a 2 foot leader. We were using cheese powerbait.
