Looks fantastic.
EV’s suck.
How did y'all discuss the evolution of auto safety without mentioning my Corvair 😉
I love the Ariya! Great video!
174 used to be my old garbage truck for my route, your lucky you get to sit in the cab if 174. It’s one solid truck. Have a great day.
Interesting conversation with Chase! He made an interesting comment about EVs charging up before the hurricanes but no one mentioned that gas stations ran out of fuel early and there were long lines of people waiting hours to fill up at the few stations that did have gas. About 17% of Florida's nearly 8,000 gas stations had run out of fuel by late Tuesday before Hurricane Milton, per GasBuddy.
Gas cars are a consumable trap like razors, inkjet printers, etc. EVs are the only type of vehicle that is not. Electricity is used for everything else, made in great quantity, available everywhere people live, and if not you can even make your own. No other fuel is like that.
When cell phone networks agreed on roaming that's when cell phones were useful enough to become popular. We need the same thing with EV charging. If you have any account you should be able to plug and charge at any station and have the session automatically billed to your one account.
What a retarded video. Give up.
It's NOT a Dodge. It's an Alfa Romero Tonale.
A performance hybrid from Dodge? Neat! Great video. Nice production!!
Thanks guys, great info.
Making me consider a dodge?? Jessie has done the impossible 😅 Love the information and feeling of the video. Carried me through the whole thing . Leaving me wanting more 😊
Great job Jesse! 😊
Funny of they call these green cars but nothing is green about the manufacturing, let’s be real it’s an agenda!!
This car looks like it would be fun to drive every day. I may just go test drive one soon. Great video too, lots of good information.
Well done! 🙌🏼 very informative! I never would have considered a Dodge if I was looking for a hybrid, but THIS might have convinced me!
Go to africa and see how green these cars rly are...
We have two and I can’t see that the lane centering works correctly
Excellent
every charger should have an IP too
Чмосипед
I'm not really an early adopter (isn't the Tesla 10 years old by now and the Leaf even older?) but I did a 1,600 mile EV road trip last August 2024. Pasadena to Reno to Boise and I was mostly on time. The Google navigation wasn't always accurate (at one point it led me to a hilltop charging station with no brand name that looked like it hadn't worked since 1959), so using separate apps was a big help. My Polestar 2 performed quite well. I'm very surprised at the maturity differences in software in 2024. Some cars are quite reliable while others (Volvo, Vinfast and VW come to mind) are not yet or only recently became ready for prime time.
I deliver cars for a living and I normally hate when I get electric cars however driving them compared to gas vehicles is alot different. A side from the time charging I suppose this is the future however Africans in the Congo don't get enough credit for the mining of prescious metals like colbolt
Superbe vidéo ❤️
Love it.
I test drove this and the Blazer and I prefer the Prologue. This is a larger electric SUV and it looks normal and has normal door handles and the knobs and switches you’d want in any car. The horsepower on the AWD is adequate. This might be a nice car to lease because I’m not sure how long Honda will be making them and supporting them.
I like the simplicity of it.
I own one. Ir's pretty great. Regen braking is easy to get used to.
Nissan's have way too many f****** problems good luck with that
nice frunk
Enjoy your drive, I sure love my Ariya!
Nice teeth
Can't believe they are turning beautiful classics into evs ....not cool...not cool at all . They are making enough crappy new evs as it is without places like this taking great classic cars and destroying them by butchering them up to turn them into a electric vehicle. Just hate what you are doing to the classic car culture. Again not cool at all. Hate your videos. Hate what you do !
The future is electric, and gas is a thing of the past whether you like it or not. These guys didn't "Ruin" their classic cars by getting rid of their ancient internal combustion engines and turning them into evs, but they gave their cars a new and better soul by doing so. Many people are embracing electric as the right path forward and ditching that ancient dinosaur of Rockefeller's legacy.
@BeverageGuzzler Bravo ...we all know what beverage you've been guzzling...Junk is Junk !
@user-gl7mj7xd6z Ha Ha, well, I occasionally enjoy a Mike's Hard Lemonade myself. But I wouldn't exactly call it junk, but I'd say that it's rather delicious. And a nice cold refreshing Pepsi on a hot and humid summer day would do it for me as well, I can't go wrong with either.
@@BeverageGuzzler YELC !
5 yrs ago, when I first did this conversion, I got many haters at car shows about ruining the soul of this old car. Or succumbing to some made up government mandate. Fast forward to now, and at those same car shows, the same guys talk about how interesting it is and have genuine curiosity. It's amazing what time does for people when something is new. I bet you will come around after more time and you have a chance to get more exposure. As for hating what these conversions are doing for car culture or the cars soul; this boggles my mind. Unless I open the boot or bonnet, nobody knows its special. I looks like a regularly used and well maintained corvair. Yet, at any of these shows, I am within spitting distance of several "hot rods" where the fenders have been cut off, roof chopped, different front subframe, disk brakes, motor swap, etc... and somehow the soul of those cars has not been "ruined" and there is no hate talk about this car culture of change. Why? I suspect its because more time has passed, and folks are used to it.... and they now celebrate the creativity and build quality. Go figure. I drive this car all the time. As an ICE, I wouldn't drive this car all the time. How is that destroying this old car? I love old cars and the planet, and this is how I choose to honor both.
Very clean conversion. Either he has a lot more power than he thinks or his 0-60 is a lot slower than he thinks. Aint no way it does 7secs with 120/180
Yeah, you are totally right. I realized after I said that it was inaccurate. It is quicker than it was, but its not a rocket. I am reluctant to quote anything at this point because my speedometer is very "optimistic" after installed a new final drive. There are no speedometer gears for that ratio, so its just not accurate. And the apps on my phone are always lagging. Thanks for the kind words and the call out.
@@summerschneider9851 its a great car, that i think is even better electric. When the engine in my 68 corvair eventually dies i plan on converting to electric too. Power and speed don't matter much for a vair, so i will probably stick to a similar power level as you did. Slightly more than stock.
Yes! I hope the info out there on the corvair conversions help you with your project, when it’s time. I am happy to answer questions or chat if you’d like. Also, if you are interested in the motor mounting scheme I did, I gave the design files to AmblerEV and I think they will be selling them.
If you like having your torso go forewards, then backwards 3 times with an average stop then buy a Honda Prologue Touring EV.
Very informative and well done. As an English teacher, I wholeheartedly approve.
the term "hybrid" should not be used for any vehicle that does not plug in... And you should not be sloppy by using the abbreviation "EV", when you should be specifically saying "BEV" and "PHEV".
Hi @Panameradan6860, hybrid electric vehicles do not plug in and cannot be charged by external equipment. EV by modern definition stands for "Electric Vehicle" which by classification incorporates BEV, PHEV, HEV and FCEV. As you can see, all acronyms have "EV" and are represented as such. They are all electric vehicles in varying degrees. Thanks for your comment!
Great video! Loved it!
Was waiting for this. Thanks for the breakdown! Love your style man
Totally baller. Rizz. Words.
Beast breakdown
Epic
Apparently the Lincoln Highway in the US northeast HAD charging stations in 1914!
Mr. Carter, if a car is charged twice a week that is 104 charges a year (not 50) and with 5000 cycles it is still 48 years, so still a long time.
There's sure alot they're not telling about EV'S.
can we talk about flex fuel cars on the next video
11 days and no comments?
I fell for this scam the last time around. Been an electrical/software engineer 25 years now. One of my first realisations was we cannot power the country on solar panels and batteries. Even without EV's (not even close). I wondered why we weren't going with nuclear. Then, when they put every single one of us out of business that used to repair Electronics,(I used to make $1500/day straight out of college), it became apparent. They invested while giving it all to China so we could have cheap junk to toss in landfills.(Where is all the concern for the planet in THAT?) Now they're going to do the EXACT same thing with solar panels and batteries (ever notice how LED light bulbs don't last as long as the old incandescents?) Those panels and batteries aren't going to last near as long as people think. This is all about enriching the elite and consolidating govt control over American energy. The "renewable" part comes in 15 years when there are thousands of acres of junk panels and batteries needing replaced. The elite will "renew" their bank accounts! And since recycling will not be profitable the govt will subsidize it so we can pay for that too. This sham has infuriated me for 20 years!
Perhaps the first film "Who Killed the Electric Car?" should be retitled "Who TRIED to Kill the Electric Car?" cause they sure as hell could NOT kill it!
Love it! :)
