Sham made Secretariat even greater than he would have been by pushing him. It was heart-breaking to see Secretariat break Shams psyche the way he did at the Belmont. Secretariat's magnificence is irrefutable, but Sham is in the running for the second greatest horse of all time.

I've never liked how the movie portrayed Sham's owner as being a complete utter d*ckwad. In reality, Sigmund was the total opposite...But that's Hollywood for you. Edit: Just as they portrayed War Admiral as being a huge horse when in actuality, he was smaller than the average thoroughbred.

Folks this disingenuous Idiot has another video Comparing Man of War to Secretariat he shows times & distance Total B.S. Man of War ran on tracks that were leveled DIRT plowed field equivalent 50 years prior to Secretariat being born if you make a amalgam for Track Variant + equipment + riding skills + health + feed + care + Overall Health etc etc etc Secretariat wouldn't even come on the track it would be futile MAN OF WAR was the greatest horse in history not a opinion a fact (only one horse would be Man of War's equal) certainly not Secretariat.

Secretariets heart was 2-1/2 larger than a normal horse, pumped more blood and oxygen to the muscles. In other words, he had a motor 2-1:2 times the size of his competitors! No horse will ever break his record at Belmont or his 1-1/2 mile record.
