Yes, I have replaced it with a solid-state relay, the rectangular 2-pin type. This one does not come with any kind of buzzer, unlike the original relay that comes with the scooter-not the aftermarket round one!!

No, you don't need to.....you can use the indicator buttons to change the pattern or turn the hazard on or off. But you can cycle between patterns more easily if you use separate switch! *(so yes you can skip the switch part)* 😀

nothing bro.....it's just how internal combustion engines work. you just have to turn off the ignition for a moment to stop the firing interval then the unburn gas's will go to exhaust and burn because of the excessive heat of exhaust, that is what you see as a flames!! 😀
