Our latest creations are needle felted birds and other creatures like...Ostrich, Flying Pig, Pheasant, Quail, commission dog, cat and animal portraits. All are sculpted out of wool using barbed needles and each creation is placed in a shadow box frame.

Giraffe (Houston we have a problem) Pt 7 In this video I had a problem with the wobbly head of the giraffe once mounted on the plaque. I had to reinforce with 16 gauge wire. I shoved wire down the mouth and then used another piece up the back of the neck, then twisted the two together. That seemed to fix the problem. I really prefer the whole animals like in this instead of just heads. The connotation of a beheaded animal is creepy. I will never make just a head that appears cut off. Your art is fabulous I want to try it but I’m afraid mine will be bad. I can’t even draw an animal so why would I think I could make a 3 dimensional image of an animal. You are extremely talented!
Thank you, many people love the animal heads after all it’s just wool. Doing the entire body is a lot more work than just the head.

Could I have a list of the color of wool and what kinds of wool you used, pretty please :)
I couldn’t tell you exactly what I used. See the link for Living Felt in the description. It has all the colors. I can tell you to use the short fiber wool MC-1 or merino top and not the long silky wool.

I started my spider, it's hard to do and creepy haha. I looked up a photo from the underneath of a tarantula, that helpt me to place the legs. And then I saw they have multiple 'cushions' at the paws, so cute! 😛 I have two kind of wools, the one is like more longer and hairy and the other.. lol, I don't know how to describe it, it's different.. 😛😛 It depends what you want to make, I wanted to use the one that is less hairy, but didn't have black. The hairy one is nice to use for longer hair like cat's. My learning point is that I use to much wool and make it to dense and thick. So my spider now has a big booty. 😂
