Also last little note/joke, Using Dogmeat to get the cryolator is stinky cheese.(perfectly fine ofc) but as a reasonable gamer i like to speed run to the combat zone for cait(Master/Expert lockpocking), distinguished cheese. it makes you wait a little bit longer before hucking snowballs:P

The glitch does work. I did it not even an hour ago. Just make sure that there isn't anything else around for him to get. Also, the you're special book duplication, level up, and material duplication glitch works. Along with that, the bypassing max level glitch works, too.
you HAVE to clear the connecting rooms of all their items leaving only the cryolator if you want Dogmeat to grab it first try. because of whatever they did in the next gen update for FO4 companions are something else now
It still works just takes a few attempts.
