Dude you just have to imagine how big the sun is, also when they zoom on different planets they can even see their rings. You could fit around milion of planet earth inside the sun , Just imagine how big it is. Its already big as it is when we look at it without any zoom. It is far away, but its enormous

Yes. I bought a sheet if solar film off of Amazon (Thousand Oaks brand?), took apart a magenta filter I will never use and cut a circle of the solar film to fit, then screwed the filter frame back together to make a solar filter for my P1000.

I bought a piece of Thousand Oaks solar film on Amazon, then took apart a magenta filter I will never use, cut the film to fit the filter frame, then screwed it back together. It's a bit fragile, but it works. Nice fish in your profile pic. I used to work for Luhr Jensen but now live on the East Coast and really miss salmon fishing. Might have to try the Great lakes one day.

That was a stone I cut for a lady from Ethiopia. The weight is in the file name, so it was 2.16 carats. I have no idea what she ever did with that stone.

It is light yellow in person. For some reason, my video camera could not record the yellow color in this one.
