This is just me,(an old man,) documenting my work. Be it wood working, prop making, leather, electrical, Ebikes, or mostly sewing. And life in general on the less prevalent end of the economic spectrum. Also occasional bits of wisdom sprinkled in with casual profanity. Once in awhile I play with video editing and mashup some music too.

So here's the results of the first test drive on the 2010 DaVinci Ebike. Not all bad . Pretty good actually. After a few minor tweaks it might even be better. Like, Share, Comment and Subscribe to see what happens next ;)

Sometimes you need different tools than what you expect. Luckily I've got all the tools for electrical work, so using a soldering iron on nylon webbing isn't a problem. Always keep lots of different tools around. You never know which ones you might need for something other than their intended purpose. Well, it finally arrived. The most expensive part of this build. Two wigs from amazon, totaling $35. This brings the total cost up to $50 for the whole project. Still not bad considering the scale of it. Like, Share, Comment and Subscribe to keep following this 'exciting' saga. (:

Sewing a Bike Together

Today we do the assembly on the web sling basket harness for the external battery packs on this old bike. It's not a particularly difficult bit of sewing, but it is repetitive. The same square with an X through it, 24 times total. I think it turned out pretty good. Like, Share, Comment and Subscribe if you want to see more.

Another Wreck to Rebuild

Once again, I have succumbed to the urge to spend what little money I have on a piece of crap that I have to put a lot of work into before it becomes the least bit useful to me. In this episode, we manage to at least get most of the body work in order, diagnose a few problems and decide to switch the battery system out entirely.

Mechanical Weekend 33 Refurbishing a Cutting Mat
Depending on the circuit in the 60v controller you have it can be converted to 48v easy, a lot of them will have a set of pads labeled 36v/48v/60v ect with a resister connecting with one the controller is, if you move the resister it will change the voltage it cut off at so it can be run lower or higher. I have a vid that kind of show how but not that helpful.
Thanks for the info. I've never tried changing the voltage on a controller. If this one dies on me, I'll definitely look into it. switching out the controller would absolutely be easier than trying to find room for another battery on this thing(:
You are missed. <3
So are you (:
What's the plan now? Making a dash to go alongside it?
Unfortunately, I don't have that much foam and spandex left (: No, the next project is fabricating new battery trays for my newest electric bike.
Not very safe, is it?
I think the only danger with this is if it doesn't work the batteries don't get charged. It's not like I'm running lithium in this thing, just cheap SLA.
@@HostileMakeover I actually meant the cable repair.
The fuck did i just stumble onto
Probably the biggest, arts and crafts project I've ever been involved in (:
you're not going to cover it in real skin are you?
nope, spandex, just like I showed on the first video on this project (:
Hey YT, your algorithm is broken again.
I think it's recommending me based on how many times I say "joint" in this video. (:
Uhhhh... I'm not sure what you're doing, but keep it up?... Good luck??
Thanks. its basically a giant arts and crafts project. A life sized doll of an anime character, on almost zero budget. Somebody challenged me that I couldn't do it, so I'm doing it. (:
Police should keep an eye on this guy. He reminds me of the freak from Silence of the Lambs. "it puts the lotion on its skin, or it gets the hose again".
LMFAO! (: I actually make a reference to Silence of the Lambs in a later video, when I'm making the spandex skin for the doll.
I thought I was lonly, jesus...
interesting
Idk why youtube recommended this to me, but for the first minute, I thought this was a cheese sculpture.
I don't understand youtube recommendations either, but I hope you at least enjoyed watching (:
i used to make scrunchies back when they were realllyyyyy popular too, together with my mom. they looked like shit, but my moms were 10 times better 😔
If you enjoyed making them that's all that matters. What they look like only counts if you're trying to sell them ;)
why was this on my home page 😭😭 wish you all the best though :V
Selamat pagi, terimakasih ilmunya
Why tube a new tire
because it's not a tubeless tire,... no tube, no air (:
lube works wonders😂
Try to find some small tire irons. Use c clamps to squeeze tire beads together to get slack to pry bead off the opposite side.
The right tools would be great to have, yes. Unfortunately, I ain't got 'em. As a consequence I have to do what I can with what I do have... Keep in mind I'm living on just about half of what's considered poverty line here in BC Canada. ;)
Good luck!
Thanks!

cool keep on keepin on !

Thanks (:
You go bro ❤😊👍🏾
Thanks for the upload.
Nice kitties! They are enjoying their life with you!
Did you get the thread protector installed Boss?
not yet, had some family emergencies to deal with, so nothing else has gotten done until this morning.
My Dad had that same drill when I was a little kid. What brand is it?
it's a black and decker. It's probably older than me, likely from the late 60s or early 70s, but it still works.
Other than that ....looks a heck of a lot better I. There than when I first met you .....congrats on the job well done 👏 I'm out in running some errands right now but it looks like you need tonhave your hammer upgraded the the 2.0 version. I'll stop by later when I get back to chilliwack
Nah, this is my grandfathers hammer,.. over a hundred years and it's only ever needed 2 new heads and 3 new handles (: as far as the floor goes, I'll have the video posted hopefully on Monday. I'm just going to leave it raw wood. Less work that way ;)
Looks like you need some flooring ...any room in your budget to buy some....my roommate has some kind of flooring for sale.vinyl looks like hardwood and or real tongue and groove ...I'm sure it won't be millions but it's not mine to give away .... Unless you want carpet ???
what a beast, how many watts is the motor?
1800 watt motor, 48volt at 20amp hour.
God bless the American rural mid-west. My grocery run is also the equivalent of 5k. It takes me a solid 6-7 minutes in my flat bed 😂
yup, welcome to Canada. 12k round trip inside the city, and I can't afford gas and insurance even if I had a car. I think I saw $1.98/liter yesterday, so about $5.75 a gallon US. (:

Faults
Are their any. Flats tripted
Why are we doing this look it up. .
i looked it up, and came up with a couple of options to try, just wondering if anybody else knew of anything I hadn't found yet (:
Interesting. Those green ones aren't just any old darts, they are Dart Zone/Adventure Force waffle darts, favoured by enthusiasts for their performance i.e. good quality ones. Adult nerfers are responsible I would guess as opposed to children. I am imagining a game between two delivery drivers or something, taking a couple of shots at each other every time they cross paths. Intriguing mystery.
Good piece of info. Thanks for that,... I keep asking around when I talk to anybody. The nearest I can tell it's somebody, or likely a few somebodies, are driving around the city at night and shooting nerf darts at homeless people. I tend to find them near bus shelters and roadside homeless camps, like hedge corners and fence line corners, or deep doorways. Everywhere from near my place in the north end of the city, down main roads all the way to the highway at the south end of the city proper, but I haven't gone into the suburbs south of that. Shitty thing for adults to do to another human being, but at least it isn't bullets and it isn't likely kids doing it.
@@HostileMakeover Oh really? That sucks, homeless people shouldn't have to deal with that.
be yourself, its all that you can do
True enough, and it's not like anybody else wants to be me (:
@@HostileMakeover I disagree. There are 639 acres of souls in Arlington that have no opinion.
why do u have a tricycle scooter. is it for someone crippled? and u must be single and or divorced. u live like a child that his mom haven't told to clean up their room. and i got same antique tool box that weight like 50 pounds with out anything in it. i chug that thing in the trash so fast. i guess this is your bedroom/living room/kitchen/ eating room, garage, tool room all in one. and i assumed that scooter is your only main transportation. what a life achievement 50 yrs old man and riding a 3 wheeled scooter because u can't balance it . i assumed u can't ride a bicycle either and u don't have a driver license because you're a convict. and your floor got like 5 different patterns and 4 different heighs
put a trike kit on it . they do make them for a moped . it will make it a 3 wheeler. look on the internet for it . their not cheap . but it would solve your problem. if you can aford it .or just buy a trike
I like your idea, but yeah, I'm on a pretty tight budget. I just bought a wreck electric quad for $250, and swapping out the rear end(swing arm, wheels, brakes and motor) it's going to be at least 1 video next week, probably 2
Great hook
thanks
What made you think that was a disability mobility scooter🤣, that is a scooter mate.😂🤣
ah, the joy of Canadian legal definitions, written by the barely literate among our government. up until december 1st 2023, a mobility scooter was defined as an electric conveyance, single occupant, incapable of travelling faster than 25kmph, a motor 500watt or smaller, with a foot pad and a step through frame,... if it had pedals and a chain it becomes an electric bicycle,... if the motor was any bigger, it becomes an electric motorcycle,... They changed the mobility scooter definition to include that it has 3 or 4 wheels,... keep in mind, this is in Canada, where a crossbow is a firearm, brass knuckles are illegal, but if they're made of plastic that's fine, and putting spit balls through a drinking straw is the use of an illegal blow gun... I had previously dropped the governor on this bike down to 25kmph to keep up with the definition, now I have to put an electric quad rear end on it,...
@@HostileMakeover OK then 🤣 🍻🇦🇺🦘 Happy New Year
Isn't there a grandfather clause? About vehicles being allowed if they are older then the laws that come into existence after the fact? Many police officers do not know such, which means you have to let them know, just make sure you carry copies of the grandfather allowances. My old van was allowed on the road without seatbelts, for it was made prior to the seatbelt law.
anything's possible at this point,... The lsm, electric bike and mobility scooter laws have been changing every year to some degree or another,... it's basically a toss up as to what is or isn't legal anymore,... like, if it's on a vespa style frame, it's a motorcycle, no matter what size the motor is,... but if it's a bicycle frame it's a bicycle, no matter how big the motor is,... up until a month or 2 ago, that was the way the laws stood on ebikes, since 2021,... the rest of canada is simple,...500 watt or under, and 49cc and under is a bicycle, over that is a motorcycle,... easy to understand and easy to enforce... but BC thinks its a different country, so they have to have all their laws different too. I've already had to mod this bike a lot to keep it legal, like dropping the governor right down to 25kmph, so it's a mobility scooter, instead of the bicycle limit of 32kmph,... now I just have to find a quad to rip apart, and it'll be legal again.
What is this... Ive never seen/heard this version of this song.
it's just back and forth clips of both versions. The chorus is the same in both, so I just put them together,...
Embarrassing rubbish.
100% this woman takes it up the 💩'er 😂
Dude Tim should do a duet with Stephen Fry.
What song should they do? I'd suggest Monty Python's 'isn't it awfully nice to have a penis,' (:
