I'd be interested to know of any other managers who fined players for serious foul play. Wenger, in many ways a gentleman, notoriously always looked the other way and failed to spot Arsenal players committing mayhem.

Burns was a hard man alright, but a great footballer. he was Footballer of the Year 1978, but honestly you could have any 1 of the Forest players that year for the award. Peter Shilton, O'Neill, Withe, Robertson, Woodcock, my choice would go to wee Archie Gemill.

I remember that head butt fortunately it did not do any damage to Burns as there was not much inside...but notice something? no one was rolling on the floor and surrounding the ref ......how refreshing!
