Wow, such an underrated content! Good Luck! Don't stop uploading.
The idea of Gad as a trinity is polytheism, no matter how much Christians attempt to justify it.
Hi Rev. Steve, a constructive comment that I hope will save you some headaches in the future. You likened God to Dark Matter in that there's no proof it's there, but nonetheless it must be. However, any scientist will tell you that there is in fact proof of Dark Matter in its gravitational effect. In the same vein, there's plenty of proof of God out there. Just because you cannot trap him in a test tube doesn't mean that people do not experience God and the countless accounts of divine intervention and revelation would be eye-witness enough to satisfy any court of law on more worldly legal grounds, let alone the other ontological and even natural evidence out there. I think the H2O example is much more solid (no pun intended).
Its all so silly, but whatever floats your boat!
There isn't any god solo or otherwise. Nobody needs a weekly book club to be a decent person who contributes to human flourishing.
Trinitarians are polytheist. God is One, Jesus was created, and the spirit is the spirit of God.
There is no trinity. Jesus - the ABSOLUTE WITNESS - states and reiterates to be WITH THE FATHER ONLY, NEVER WITH TWO PERSONS.
There is zero objective evidence any god has ever existed, including the polytheistic, monotheistic entity Christians have invented. Your analogy concerning dark matter does not work either. We know that dark matter exists because of the effect it has on objects that we can observe directly. Scientists study dark matter by looking at the effects it has on visible objects. Scientists believe that dark matter may account for the unexplained motions of stars within galaxies. It has an observable objective impact on other bodies in the universe which is why it 'fits the facts as we observe them' which is something that cannot be said for any god. Your analogy therefore fails. As for your justification that the trinity exists being down to the 'lived experience of Christians across the millennia', what does that even mean? All other religions have followers that claim the same kind of experiences with their deities. I would suggest all their collective experiences are a product of psychological conditioning via years of exposure or indoctrination to their respective religions - Again, your claim here does not constitute any evidence your god exist. Only men wrote the books in the Bible (many of them anonymous or individuals that simply don't appear in secular history like Moses, Abraham and Noah for some notable examples). We have countless examples of men either lying or being mistaken throughout history yet no examples of any god. Why should anyone believe the claims of these ancient scribes? Indeed, the only reason you're a Christian is through a quirk of history when Constantine adopted the religion as the official religion of Rome back in the 4th century AD. If Rome had adopted Mithraism instead, you'd most likely be as proponent of that religion now. Christianity postulates a dying and rising saviour god, it was not unique in this and contains several similarities to other such religions of the time. Christianity itself arose from a backdrop of Judaism which itself had influences of Zoroastrianism in it (the concept of light and dark - good and evil)
Another who seems to be fulfilling 2 Timothy 3:13. Using analogies because the scriptures do not help.
A different TFTD. Species, including man. are like mushrooms which are the fruiting bodies of a huge supporting mycelium. Species are the method genes use to diversify and increase variability to counter the attacks of other species. A side effect of this in man is that he can think. With the ability to think comes fear. Throughout history man has created theories which he tries to convince himself that the fruiting body will not die after shedding its seed to continue the life of his long lasting genes. Understanding this fear can bring about peace of mind so that one accepts one's mortality and celebrate the moment . If I were to create a sermon, I would echo what Jesus is reported to advise. Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you. To the greedy people. that does not make sense but I have found that I do get a strange satisfaction helping others. I can't explain it - perhaps by helping others I am increasing the survival of the good genes whereas the greedy people are ensuring the destruction of harmful genes. Who knows? Just another TFTD.
Danke für die Ermutigung, Schwägerin 😊!
