I just had a few new members join my team this past week I was able to communicate these principles to them, we are a team, we need to spend together honoring God and worshipping and studying as a team, and individually. From where we were 3 years ago, I believe we are following Gods will more closely.

Wait, cohort? When? I learned from JB at Radiant Life that picking songs is secondary. I learned to go to my quiet place, pray, meditate, and discern how Holy Spirit wants us to worship God. Sometimes months in advance, and it usually works. There are sometimes when I have discerned incorrectly, but my EP and I are always communicating about worship, as a whole, not just the songs. Awesome show as usual Chris.

I was there when Jim took over the college ministry and later he was my mentor. I can vouch for his being touched by God for leadership. When he went off to England and Ed stepped down, I thought how cool would it be and how perfect, if Jim were the one who took over for Ed. And then it happened :)

Don’t you have victims sign confidentiality agreements in the GLR? Might be why issues are more common in that region… Can’t fix a pattern that only a few individuals know exists.

Most of us have only 35 new sermons in us per year! Wow, this so helpful to me. I've only been preaching every Sunday for 5 years and it gets more difficult each year to come up with new ideas. But what can a solo pastor do when she only gets two Sundays off a year?

It's a shame that healing works cannot be done in many traumatized people due to confidentiality agreements used in the Great Lakes Region of the Wesleyan Church.

This is probably my favorite episode to date... the transparency and rawness is encouraging and necessary... Thank you for being vulnerable and lighting the way to discuss talking about difficult subjects and letting others know that they are not alone... everyone has struggled with everything... it's just a matter of seeking... find your people and get outta your head...loved the biblical references...🙏❤️📚

To the point that Chris makes at the end "...God can open doors that only God can open...." If I remember this part of Jim's story correctly, Calvary Church did more than a nation-wide search for the next Sr Pastor and Jim never applied or lobbied to be considered. At the end of the search process the search committee and all of Calvary Church knew that God had called Jim to be our next Sr Pastor! And we are blessed to have him!
