Making a Custom Mystery Ranch Unicorn 2.0 Backpack
I deconstructed a @mysteryranch Unicorn 2.0 bag that was part of a recent collab with @CarryologyTV , and wanted to rebuild it with some more unicorn VIBES ✨
I wanted to experiment with some fabric dyeing, and this seemed like the perfect project for it 😈. I ordered all of the new material in white and dyed with @ritcolorcommunity synthetic to get the pallet I was going for.

Awesome project. Well executed and great work. I have one questions for you. How well do you think would the orange XPAC dye? Into a darker colour? Would it be possible at all?

OMG the colours are perfect! X-Pac needs to release a collection of pastel colours similar to yours asap . It's so damn hard to find high quality bags in white X-Pac with a certain aesthetic because they either get discontinued or sold as limited edition. Legit my fav colour on your bag's the blueish purple shade, it's sooo pretty and it reminds me of hydrangeas.🥺

holy s**t bro, that is crazy amazing. nice work! how long did it take you to collect the equipment and become proficient? How many bags have you made? Mind blowing what you just did.
I think I got to a pretty comfortable level of sewing after a year of doing it, but I always manage to learn new things with each project! Lots of bags have been made and probably would have jumped on the arsenal of machines I currently have sooner if I wasn’t so scared of the price tags 😅

Currently watching the video. Dying xpac is crazy. Any worry about it delaminating prematurely?
Only way to truly know is with time. I feel like temperature would be the biggest influence of that, and I found the most consistency dyeing at around 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit, which in my limited experience, doesn't seem like it would compromise the lamination. I'll come back to this comment in 10 years and let you know 😂

Thank you!! Really happy with the pallet. Would be fun to try mixing some bottles together and see what other variations can be gained! The synthetic dye line is pretty limited

Not like ILLEGAL 😂 but cutting some corners forsure for the sake of time. If I over-size prices only to cut them down to size later, then it produces quite a bit of scrap. On a one off, it’s fine, but wouldn’t want to work that way on a larger scale!

How long did this take??
I’d say the whole build time was probably about 20 hours of work over the course of a few weeks. Took a while to source material as well. Feel like editing this video took longer than the whole bag process 🥲
