Hi I think you’re getting mixed up with the different forces within the braking system.Friction happens when the pad touches the braking surface turning kinetic energy into heat energy(Friction).that car lives in a rust belt so a small amount of grease was applied to help the next guy I.e probably me.gripping force at the wheel studs is massive you’ll be fine with a small bit of grease

@@fixstuff5798 The grease causes a shear force to act on the bolts instead of friction.

Hi mine also says this but the roof works fine.i changed lock and still says this but what I think it might be is maybe the spring inside because now and again it doesn’t shut right and I need to pull latch back and all is good until I have to do this again

@@patryk2223 hi was travelling back from holiday but back to the grind today lol.ive put up the wee video with the measuring blocks for roof.there is a couple of different sensors on the trunk lid so you will be able to work out which one by disconnecting each one and look at the diagnostic to see one what changes

​@@fixstuff5798 ​@fixstuff5798 No life at all. In the roof wiring in the boot, in the blue connector (blue and green) one of the wires was cut. When i connected reg plate light are on all the time. Even if i lock the car. Is that might be faulty boot module?

@@patryk2223 the boot not closing right will ping on the reg lights.you would need to plug it into a diagnostic to find out what is going on with it.ive got a short video to do with the 15 building blocks that I was supposed to put on this video but somehow missed it out that might help you

Hi not sure on that one it was a speaker kit for that specific car

It will let you in boot but you’ll need to do it every time until you fix your roof.you can unplug the blue plug in roof ecu and you should have a working boot again until you get roof looked at.ecu situated in boot right hand side under carpet

@@fixstuff5798 I do not have any issues with the roof though the trunk lid does not lock when I open the roof. That was the last case I had. I am going to try to unplug the blue one on Saturday and see what is going to happen. I am really sick of this car.

Same absolutely sick of this car. Roof goes down fine. Boot closes. Put roof back up boot wont close... beeping driving me insane

@@rachelmartin8933 hi if you disconnect blue plug on roof ecu it should stop the noises until you can get roof looked at.right hand side under carpet

Possibly but if there is a problem with roof it locks the boot so it might be the roof that’s locking boot.does the boot open when fuse 16 is removed?

@@fixstuff5798 yes the boot is working when the fuse 16 is out. I REALLY hope you Can help me

I don’t think it’s your lock then.it needs plugged into a diagnostic and read the 15 building blocks so you can see whats happening at each sensor

@@fixstuff5798 we checked everything the only thing that pops up is a “ trunk switch “ that is the only thing that pops up under diagnostic

@@fixstuff5798 and I tried to take it to some mechanic they told me the problem it’s might be Control unit

Hi if you unplug the blue plug from roof ecu the boot should work as normal until you get it fixed.roof ecu is situated on right hand side behind panel in boot

@@kikolex3389if you have problem with roof it locks the boot but if you take fuse out the boot opens

@@kikolex3389 opcom is perfect for it 👍I used autel for this one Ive got a full video on this one hopefully get it up in couple of days.this one had a few problems with it.what codes are you getting

Yes indeed you can do it that way if you want to.whatever is easiest for you but I didn’t this time but I did state not to pull the brake hose and make sure it’s straight no kinks 👍
