What you mean by “fan housing”? are you referring to the fan shroud?
Hello, say what is the right type of nut to use on the case? Sealing, or not? Also does the sealing nut go on with the plastic up or down .Thx
Mansi speed has a nice upgrade pump.

silence of the lambs!!!
lol
How big/thick of an oil pump do I use on a stock 1969 single relief case with the top end converted to 1600 dual port with a doghouse oil cooler?
Can swap the oil pump in a auto stick engine you interested to use in a bay window for a normal oil pump used in a 1600 dual port to be able to install the EMPI engine case adapter for the mustache bar?
I laughed at your video. Found it boring. And I found another video on the subject. This dude was just running around guessing. He got the car working, but he’s not the guy to follow. Wouldn’t know how excellent your video was, If I didn’t think it was boring at first. 👉🏽Excellent job my friend😄
Thanks! I pride myself on being as boring as possible.
What oil pressure did you end up with this build?
Hi i fall down by accident on your post. I have a question : how are you making the starter to be used on the stand ? i like the engine sound...seems a bit lean
Really love your video. I am looking forward to building one similar. Thank you.
At the 8:18 mark, you didn't use a gasket at all? In between the engine case and oil pump body. Just the loctite 518? I would've thought you would've use BOTH the 518 and a paper gasket?
Mark, great video as usual
Mark Thank you Lots of great Info condensed to what the 914 DIY user can use Please share more Love for us with Dual Carbs :)
You mention fuel injector adapter? Something you buy?
Something I designed and had custom manufactured. Not planning to do another run, but you never know.
PS Thanks for sharing the video and explanation
This is super cool. What difference did it make? Was it worth it? I have a standard 914 1.8 and interested in exploiting the injection framework by updating with modern control like yours.
Good stuff if you have the patience for the learning curve. It's far from easy. Sure, getting a pile of parts is easy, but getting them to work well together and chase out all the bugs is the real challenge.
How reliable have you found the microsquirt? I have been considering the idea of doing this with an experimental aircraft that uses the VW engine. Have you had any issues with the engine cutting out and being fixed with a reset on the ECU, or anything of that sort. Or had to re flash the system for any reason?
Smooth
What fuel injector system did you use?
MicroSquirt
Have you ever removed the master cylinder? My Haynes manual scrimps on instructions for this.
Had a same problem. Just installed new bushings today.
Nice
This is brilliant!
Thanks! It's the culmination of over 5 years of development and I'm really happy with how it's all turned out. There's always a few more things to change/upgrade but this setup is pretty robust.

Finally a video on shitty lug bolts. First on RUclips. Thznks
Useful -- thank you. I have the 123 distributor and I'm getting the CSP linkage soon I hope.
Michael James I’m glad it was helpful. I hope to add more soon.
this is greatly appreciated ! Thank you so much.
thats about the worst thing to do to a vw motor
Original Customs wow can’t say anything to help I’m not the only one saying it I have burned valves this way but do as you wish
I didn't say it was a good idea. I didn't say it was without risk. But YOU said it was 'about the worst thing to do to a vw motor'. At least the guy 8 years ago wasn't melodramatic. Dangling the oil filter by some hoses is a bad idea too. Not supporting the engine by anything other than a cheap HF stand is also a bad idea. And all these things have evolved over time. What dumb stuff were you doing 10 years ago that you don't do now?
you don't take criticism well do you? im still baffeled you even responded the way you did.
I take criticism fine. I object to hyperbole, for example "thats about the worst thing to do to a vw motor".
So why attack just me why not talk shit to the other guy to? And yes it is hard on vw motors really any motor at that sometimes you just can’t fix stupid
nice
How long did it take the sludge to dry? Did you notice any sound difference?
A gentleman wants to sell me a rail buggy withthis kind of engine for 2k. Is that a good buy?
Great Job ! ...
damn dood! Thats quick!
And yet, he did regret not bringing his mother's large pie server to the final conflict.
True.
Do you need to have the brain box for it to power up the monitor ?
The car is fast and quiet ...
Great job ! ... is this a 2056 or a 1911 ? ...
Good job Mark
Well done ! ...
Man, I really wish I had one of these. Oh wait, that one's mine! :)
LOL, dude. Yeah, that is a quick tour!
I want Stab Man comics
Sure sounds nice...
how did you wire the headunit for this????
Mine is the same way and the bolt that mounts it to the steering box shaft is stripped!
not worried about burned exhaust valves?
