40km from Maroota to Wisemans Ferry along River rd is my local training ride. Hope you can do it again with better weather

This is basically my childhood 😂. Overland is amazing. So many nights camped in Kuipto!!! I grew up about 20 minutes from Murray Bridge (towards Adelaide). So many many memories in that circumference.

Back in the 2000's I lived in wodonga and I rode many of these sections of railtrail. The bridge over the lake was just a dream back then and so the trail had to go around on the road on a very narrow and fast curve, extra dangerous. We did the Tallangatta sections when they were opened in a big festival atmosphere, and the Corryong Shelley, Tallangatta as a preview because it wasn't open back then and the group was just gaining support for the finances to do it up to standards. Some of those old timber trestles were in really bad shape and there was a farmer upstream of Old Tallangatta who looked like a possible sabotager of any railtrail proposal and that section wasn't on the tour. Great to see it mostly open, these are a brilliant way to travel and I hope that they can get ebike charging stations set up along the way.

I spent more time looking for the Nowa Nowa MTB park than I did riding it. There needs to be a map at the general store. The lady there wasn't sure where the park was.

Hoping to do this tour sometime later this year. I am just a bit puzzled how you went south to climb Towac Pinnacle when it is the opposite direction from the route to Molong.

I rode the GSRT a few weeks ago Korumburra-Toora, got absolutely soaked both days lol.. chain tip, 2 of us used Canola oil on the chain and didn't have any issues at all.. the other used normal chain lube and his sounded like a blender with nuts and bolts in it. Great vid too 👍

I need to do my homework as i've never heard of all these trails! There are plenty in Melbourne but country trails are so much nicer! And cleaner air!
