A 22-piece string ensemble featured at over 60 performances annually.
ReStrung consists of students at Saline High School, all of whom share in producing a unique ensemble truly their own. Working alongside leadership, students craft their own arrangements and help make organizational decisions. Students are chosen based not only on musical talent, but personal maturity as well. They balance a demanding performance schedule while maintaining high standards in other school activities, sports, and academics.
Fiddlers ReStrung prides itself on being highly adaptable; no venue is too small, no stage too large. In addition to touring nationally each summer, they donate a third of their yearly schedule to community service events. They provide workshop opportunities for schools around the country as well as host an annual December concert in support of the USMC 's Toys for Tots program.

From the village to the east entrance of the Porcupine Mountains State Park - 10/3/2020
Felt the need to go for a little drive this morning. I thought someone who moved away from the area might like to take the trip with us so here's a video created from my camcorder sitting on the dash. Through town, out to the east entrance of the Porcupine Mountains State Park and then back to town. Colors are at peak but needed some sunshine to make them pop. Parts of the video are real time, others are sped up (I really don't drive like a maniac 😁). If you're a current resident don't bother watching it as it'll be very boring for you.

Rainbow Falls - 11/5/16 Perhaps my favorite waterfall. Not only is it beautiful, it is also very remote and is not shown on any of the park maps. The terrain makes it a definite challenge to get to and there's no trail to it, all of which adds to its allure. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Alger County, MI Michigan's Upper Peninsula

The video was shot at Sand Point which is about 3 miles east of Munising. It's the east channel of Munising Bay. If you like nature you'll find it in abundance in the upper peninsula. I've wanted to live up here since I was 6 years old (the first time I saw Lake Superior). That dream came true 50-some yeas later. Check out my facebook page. Wonderful performance! Jennie misses you and orchestra. First time she hasn't been in an orchestra since 7th grade.

does she only chew teddy bear or does it expand to stuffed dog?
Any stuffed toy.
She never eats the stuffing. All she's interested in is tearing it apart. We do remove buttons/eyes and any other potential choking hazard before giving her a stuffed toy.
Came for the ice balls; stayed for the peaceful sounds.

Keith Murphy has a real sense for this music, and the skill to send it home He was in my locale with the Hanneke Cassel band and did a song called "Crossing the Bar." I'd never heard either the poem or the song before. As to the song, I don't think I'll ever forget it. It broke my heart. I've listened to a number of renditions of it by various artists on RUclips. So far, no one has come close to bringing this old poem to life as Keith did. I doubt that anyone will. I hope he records it.
