Building Cob Raised Beds | Part 1
Просмотров 823 месяца назад
Hi ! in this video I'm upcycling some cement that we removed from the backyard and using it to build a cob raised bed. We previously built a cob hut structure for the kids and I wanted to try making a raised bed using the same method. This came about because I planted some plants in the raised beds and they kept being stepped on because they were easy to miss. This is the first part of 3 videos...

In this video I go over how I planted my tomatoes. I first chose a south facing space and then I dig about 6 inches deep to plant the tomatoes in 4 inches above the stem. Please note this video was taken back in March. Thank you for being here and I hope I have inspired you to get out in the garden. Have a nice day!

Thank you 😊

Thanks so much for the question, I’m in Zone 9b souther CA so we have a very mild winter. The lowest it usually gets is mid 40F. The onion and leafy green do ok within that temperature.
When you say “left it over winter”, and it looks like that, it makes me wonder, what are your winters like? Cause I just took a couple of plants out for 2 hrs to get some sun, and a couple froze…
