Super windy day, strong currents, and we still catch fish! 59cm Salmon (PB) and a 40cm salmon! My expectations on the 59cm salmon was much higher! I thought it was like 60cm or 70cm! Was my biggest fight! One of the best sydney beaches to go fishing!

Just saying, can treat the catch more gently - not smash against the soil before landing it on grass and even stepping on it. Can get it on grass right away. And also be more gentle unhooking the bream. That will improve its chances of survival after being smashed yet again back to the Parramatta.
Ok. Sorry for that. I just had to get grip of the bream to unhook it.
@@GULPActionYou're still learning mate 👍 Next time hold him up by the line, rest your rod against your arm and body and use your other hand to grab the bream from the underside so those top fins don't spike your hand. Then once you have it in your hand you can let go of the line and use that hand to juggle the hook free, try not to pull the hook, just work it back the opposite direction that it went in and you'll get it free in no time flat. And if a fish has spikes, sharp teeth or barbs just be careful where you put your hands and fingers. Keep practicing mate and you'll get there 👌
