He wasn't F-tier before imo, but the big change that bumped him up was getting massive buffs to his command grab, s214x-4x, and GHA so they all drain meter. Now Rohan can pretty easily force his opponents to play on limited meter resources, which is real strong in certain matchups. Plus all the strong tools he already had: good fireball, plus frames on his s.off normals, invul dp, silent jH.

Johnny is one of the best in the game? WoU is busted? I wouldn’t take anyone seriously who believes that in patch 2.33. You think the 2.3 nerfs to horse had no impact? Johnny can be jailed into command grab infinites by several characters with those changes. He has multiple awful matchups and hasn’t won in any tournament I’ve seen in at least a year. What is your opinion on Iggy Sand Dome auto-SD tech? It’s one of the strongest defensive tools in the game, combined with good buttons and pressure with double overhead jump-in buttons. You think that character is awful, and your argument is that they are “generally known” zzzz Orange won EVO Japan with Shigechi. I can be convinced that he’s pretty weak, but you want me to say he’s bottom 3 so it aligns with the other lists you’ve seen. I’m at a loss for how confident you are in your opinions given that you obviously came up with zero of them.

Rohan and Pucci can lock Johnny into infinites that he can only break by using defensive assist call. Rohan just needs to land an HHA, which seals Johnny's command normals and forces him off horse. Then Rohan can framekill 2L > command grab again and just do that until he kills Johnny. Pucci just steals disk and then he can repeat meaty boiling water command grab until he wins. No disk means no command normals or specials so johnny can't 4/6H or dp. Final Pucci can do basically the same thing but the command grab setup isn't true infinite, just heavily balanced in his favor. And of course all characters can react to johnny on horse 46H armor with SG or counter (if they have one) and punish it. Johnny grounded 4/6H is a little more annoying but you can make a read and sg that too.

zz that char seems so mid post-kami frame nerf. nice buttons esp with HHA, and he has good tools like reflect and dive kick but feels like most of his scary stuff is more of a knowledge check. I'm not fully committed to the bottom 3 agenda tho

@@mistertoastmanFGC the character is just a good complete character with very recognizable strengths, which i can’t say the same for some others, like gyro, stro, johnny, nara, trish, to name a few. with the way the game plays, u weren’t getting many opportunities to even go for kami frame resets anyways because of the high damage nature of the game and the absurdity that is bursts. i don’t like that a play-style for him was hard nerfed, but playing around his crazy neutral and pressure with hha is just as solid if not better imo.

i feel that, I'm into his neutral but knocked him for being easier to burst, having mostly backloaded damage, wakeup options, combo consistency in hha. i could def be underestimating him. I think you're odee underrating trish and nara tho.

3S is such a gross special: pretty fast, upper body invul, hard knockdown, drains about 30 hp, and it’s special-cancelable on hit ofc 🤑 yeah if opponent doesn’t tech roll after ips you can otg them, tho I’ve been trying to set up ips tech trap resets with Brando instead

love doing it in combo routes, still need to find a way to use it for real oki

@@mistertoastmanFGC There is a player known as BFelix014, who recently participated in many tournaments and rocks Oldseph like a champ. You could search for Demonic Heartbreakers, Time Stoppers or a match exhibition video of him if it helps!

I only use it for s.236M-S conversions right now which seems like a waste, I need to figure out how else to use kak esp since you can convert meterless off that special.

@@mistertoastmanFGC I use it for burst safe routes right after s236M 6S. And you can delay it a bit to make it so you don't have any assist cooldown

every tournament organizer can set their own rules of course, but I would def not ban any character in their current state, including Vanilla Ice. no character is so strong that it would require a ban.

ASBR is mostly a Discord fighter due to the relatively low player count. It can be difficult to find matches depending on time and region. I'm in NA and I generally find player matches during the day. I've added people after running into them randomly online. But there are def sessions where I wait a long time, and the delay-based netcode means some matches can feel real slow. All that said, yes this game is a ton of fun and I'm glad I got it. There are several ASBR discord communities that host events or have matchmaking channels if you want to get matches reliably, those vary based on region and platform but the main one is: discord.gg/A6E6kfTN

ggs, yeah it was super fun! i think Iggy mu gets way more interesting if he does the 4S > SD stuff I think he's capable of consistently. I haven't figured that out yet and kept eating vice assist when I tried to do it against cyanide, but that would be sick. Iggy user mode vs 4taro s.on is hard, i gotta see what Sipp does in those mus... have you played against speedwagon much?

@@mistertoastmanFGC I’ve played against Omac Speedwagon a couple times and that MU def feels 4Taro favoured I feel like. Bearings are better than goons and hat when it comes to zoning/controlling space, and 4Taro s.On buttons are a little better than Speedwagons (ignoring his 5M). I’d need to play it a bit more for concrete feelings, but I do still fundamentally think it’s at LEAST 5.5-4.5 for 4Taro

@BannockMeatball yeah I felt like 4taro wins that slightly, speedwagon has to respect the threat of tele too so I can’t throw goons or hat around as heavy. He has to play the mu kinda careful which is the opposite of what I wanna be doing when I’m playing speed ha. I don’t have enough xp with the char to have a strong opinion on matchups so was curious your impression, ty ty 🙏🏽

100% agree, i really feel how limited Kira’s pressure is against people who play smart into coin and don’t panic SG against 236x on block. His damage is almost enough by itself to bump him up for me, but he often has to take risks with SG-able blockstrings or making a read with s.on counter. Being soft to good projectiles is also tough with Hol, Mista, and Foof showing up consistently in brackets.

Josuke is probably the most versatile assist, since he’s super active and has a big hitbox so it works in lots of combo structures. There’s lots of other good ones tho; I also sometimes use Vanilla Ice, Avdol, Hol Horse, or Jotaro4 assist depending on what I need. Thanks for watching!
