I go to the obx is cape hatteras every year and we see the Richmond all the time

We thought about that but we liked this mysterious, salty voice.
A few years back a container ship lost a few cans off the BC coast. Tennis shoes everywhere. With a bit of searching one could find a matching pair in your size. Then they used the findings to map ocean currents using the UPC codes to verify shoes originated from the loss in a specific spot and drifted to the found location with time frames.

The USS Huron had a hero that night: crewmember Lucien Young. Young walked four miles to the nearest Lifesaving Station. Finding it unmanned, he broke in and was able to get a Lytle gun and took it to the scene of the wreck. Fellow seaman Williams also engaged in rescue efforts. Both Young and Williams would receive the Gold Lifesaving Medal for the heroism.
