And…
What temperatur do you run on the heatgun?
I run my wife’s hairdryer on max or medium heat 😂
That was awesome !! I live in Banff. Great trail ! YES I carry Bear Spray all the time...BUT it should not be IN your pack, it should on you in a holster, as you will not have time to get it out of your pack haha!! LOVE BEARS, yes I have seen them
Wow, good to know about the holster! Banff was cool, hope to have the opportunity to ride there again 💎
Bear Bangers tend to do better in 🇨🇦 🐻 country. Sprays require you to be kinda close for my liking but you should definitely keep it at your side and not tucked away. 😊
Need more, MORE
Nice tuning what rims did you change to looking for that sound I have syncros rims and hubs I was told that they aren’t modifiable please let me know 🙏 💪🏿
Hi! Sorry I don’t understand your question.
First one Sounds like the bearrings are dead
😮
Decals on mountain bikes is making a big 🎉🎉🎉 I love it..
Name of the rims? Bmc?
The DT Swiss hubs are laced to ENVE M70 carbon rims. The Shimano rims I don’t remember, nothing special.
Any problems with it lifting over time?
Surprisingly little. The first one I installed lasted about 2000km without any problems and I ended up switching bikes after that. With every new kit install I’ve become less and less precise with the application, with the consequence that the protector has started lifting in tight bendy spots or where I’ve left some skin oil on the paint or protector. Very minor issues that is, and dealt with easily by slicing away a small piece carefully with a sharp blade.
Great vid! I ride this trail about 40 times each summer, you did a great job of commentary and you rode it with a lot of skill. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Liz! This was the one and only time I had chance to ride the trail, I really enjoyed it. Hope to be able to ride there again some day 🤞
What height are you and what size did you get?
I’m 176cm and got a Medium. The configurator suggested a Small, but I’ve been happy with my choice. I guess a Small would have done alright as well.
Almost fell @1:08? :D Good stuff!
Yup, a close call as you can hear by reaction in the vid 😅
240s 🤗🤗🤗
What trail is this
Top Notch
Amazing bro. SUBSCRIBED!
Thanks!
what case is that on your bike?
Canyon Top Tube bag. Has proven quite useful and handy. www.canyon.com/de-de/fahrradzubehoer/teile/fahrradtransport-gepaeck/fahrradtasche/canyon-oberrohrtasche/10005997.html
WOW so beautiful nature
Our thoughts exactly through the whole ride! And what’s even more amazing is that there were three distinct layers of different nature, changing as gaining elevation. Starting from a dryer climate to entering the Forrest section which after volcanic rocks and no vegetation.
Very nice cassette! Is it Slx or xt? I have the slx one
Hi! The first cassette in the Shimano hub is a 11spd XT cassette. The cassette on the DT Swiss hub was a SunRace CSMX8 11-speed, which ended up braking prematurely. We can not recommend the SunRace one, stick with Shimano instead 🙂 Our newest bikes have Shimano 12-speed SLX casettes
@@NorthernBikeChannel Thank you for letting me know. I have shimano deore hub on my bike and it is running flawless 5 years later. My cassette is SLX 11spd 11-42. Looks the same as in the video but xt is better
Nice riding, looks pretty cool!
Thanks! It was a sweet experience 👍
What video setup do you have for mtb, looks amazing.
Thanks man! I got to lend my buddy’s DJI ACTION 2 for the trip. I had it mounted on a GoPro chest mount.
dt swiss vs hydra hub
I’m gonna build one
Great! Leave room for progression 👍
Dang I think I have to let it set for a while it was to powdery
I thwacked it with a shovel
54 ratchet on a MTB? Good luck on those hubs.
We saw over 2500km on those wheels with the same hub and ratchet and had no problems what so ever. These wheels came second hand to us too, so I’d say they held up just fine 🫡
@@NorthernBikeChannel Glad to ear it and they sound great. Ride safe!
See how long it takes you to realise essentially every decent mtb hub had around this much engagement or much much more. The highest engagement hub in the world is the i9 hydra with 690
@@dantindley5181 Well I´m speaking from my own experience training and racing with 180EXP hubs and knowing what gradually happens to the teeth when I don´t service them every 1-2 months. Again: they sound great. Ride safe!
Very good! Found your channel over on a MTBR thread. Subbed.
Olé...🚴🇪🇦🤘🏻
👍
Really nice skills! WOW! And nice Pivot Bike! (:
Thanks! 🙏 I have upgraded the bike lately, not sure about the skills though 😆
Holy moly, looks stunning, the texture on blue paint looks so raw 👍 I ride an MTB too, Frog Viper 101x
The ”bleach” look is actually a protective tape with graphics, the product is from DYEDBRO 👍 MTB sure is fun!
@@NorthernBikeChannel nice
My god 😧 your bike is as gorgeous as my ex Nice work on those decals as well 👍
Thanks! The Heckler was CLEAN 👌 Riding a different bike nowadays though
@@NorthernBikeChannel i wud luv 2 c wht u riding on nowdays 😈

@@NorthernBikeChannel it's stunning mate, gr8 👍
Nice riding! I don’t ride but still found this video intriguing and relaxing😊
Cool to hear, thank you!
Yes y not
Great install. This is a dumb question but how did you avoid scratching the frame when you were trimming the pieces you stuck down?
There is certainly some risk involved in trimming the pieces by cutting once already installed. A steady hand and sharp eyes help! 👀 You can cut and trim the pieces with scissors beforehand, but getting a perfect fit isn’t as easy, if you are going for a detailed finish.
Nuuksiossa?
Sieltäkin 👍 75km lenkki enimmäkseen reitti 2000 pitkin. Ootko käynyt ajamassa tuolla?
En oo käynyt tuolla päin ajamassa. Voishan sitä joskus käydäkkin
Xt have cups and cone bearings. Is stronger. Dt swiss have sealed bearings is not so strong.
DT FTW
This dudes Finnish. Where did find that rock roll.
Correct! The rock roll is found in Espoo, Vanttila
Kiitos tiedosta. Tunnistin siitä paikasta jos on se skeittiparkki niitten hyppyreiden vieres.
🤔 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙢
Nice Jumps!
Thanks! A bit too small for the big bike though, hard to keep enough speed 😄
👍
Top 👍
Thanks! 🙏
Yes!
Да 🖐
Very nice roding
DT Wins
Agreed 😌
That's great mate!! cool video :)
Thanks dude! Quite a place for being a “pirate trail” 😅
@@NorthernBikeChannel 😂😂🤘🤙🤙
Way better than a foam pit 😆 we used to search the foam pit at our old indoor park at closing time to find everything that fell out of peoples pockets. Mostly coins, cash, and once found an ipod nano. Foam pits are fun but also so much work to get out of. This giant mattress is cool.
That’s a funny story! The foam pits are really very exhausting to get out of. This mattress will also let you ride it out sort of if you nail a trick. The air filled bag jumps add a slope to the landing so they might be the closest ones to a real thing.
Looks like a lot of fun!
It was! You could and should try it too!
This beat is sick AF
🎧🎵
Nice jumps! Relaxing to just hear the sound of the riding without music. Looks and sounds so smooth👍🏻
The jumps at built smooth alright 🤤 Rolled quite good on the frozen ground too!
We did another short vid with raw sound a while ago 👌 ruclips.net/video/IzXSNH-gDkY/видео.html There’s really something in it that makes it a bit satisfying
Nice! Jumps keep getting bigger😎
Thanks! They seem to be doing so, steadily. Holding that there wont be a sudden drop in confidence again 😬
