    Hi! Any updates on this? Recently sold my simrig due to lack of time, but this would seem the perfect way to casually do some racing Every now and then!

      Working on kickstarter campain to get thing accelerated. Atm you would get an prototype without wireless (USB needed) and no guaranty. Thats not how i like to treat customerst.

      Wow that’s awesome! Keep us posted, judging from the simracing spaces on reddit, it looks like there is ample demand for something like this! Good luck with the development!

    Oh yeah! I used to love the neGcon controller on my PlayStation - although the ergonomics were terrible, the full 180° of rotation in each direction was so worth it for driving games. My lap times in wipEout 2097 improved out of sight switching from a regular controller to the neGcon. This looks like it takes the concept to the next level, and fixes the ergonomics. I've got a sim rig for my PS5, but sometimes I just want to smash out a few quick laps and not get too involved, and this looks like it would be perfect.

    The return of the NeGcon, great for people unable to use a sim rig due to injury, or people looking for a new way to have better control for couch gaming. Great work

      The idea came from pure laziness and the search for perfect couchgaming ofcourse. But really helping people would be amazing!

    Very cool! I was researching wave-wound coils for very different haptic feedback device I'm working on, which brought me here. When you make your project video can you provide information on how you determined the number of turns vs force vs size of the coil?

    • @Voxters
      @Voxters 5 месяцев назад

      Sure, i meanwhile made an semi autmatet winder for the wave-winding. I plan to make a kinda boring video, where you can watch it doing its job, while i talk about details.

      Getting back the feeling of childhood... But what used to make sense only to us and looked funny to others is now part of the game. In fact, that wasn't the idea at the beginning of the project. But already with the first prototypes, the feeling of childhood was immediately there.

    Perhaps you can explain the advantage of a coreless brushless motor? The key advantage of coreless is not having the weight of the iron spinning. If the windings are not spinning what point is there is not having them with a core which dramatically increase magnetic force for the same copper?

    • @Voxters
      @Voxters 9 месяцев назад

      That will all be explained in my "building" video. Just need to find time, to get it done. In short: - no cogging by magnetic coupling - dynamik of an audiospeaker - no ironloss during fieldchange

  • @Cassiusisback
    @Cassiusisback 11 месяцев назад

    haha, its almost scary to see someone with the exact winding method that i came up with a few years ago. my biggest finding: more copper, more power. and a very thin core printed from iron filament, just to reduce the air gap without risking to damage the windings with magnets also made a big difference.

    • @Voxters
      @Voxters 11 месяцев назад

      Here is no iron at all. Goal is a motor purely based on Lorenz-Force for absolute zero cogging and ironloss due to change of the magnetic direction.

    • @Cassiusisback
      @Cassiusisback 11 месяцев назад

      @@Voxters @Voxters not a core, sry, wron wording. most commercial slotless bldcs have a thin sheet of metal between rotor and stator to be able to reduce the gap as much as possible without risking damage on the coils. since its just a tube, there also wont be any cogging. "infranor usa" has a 3 min video where they show and explain their coreless servo. thats the video, that gave me the idea. and really made a big increase in power for me. anyway, really nice project! also i saw that you gave the tmc4671 a try. something i also really wanted to do since a while! instant park clark transformation, pids, everything. sounds like a wet dream! kudos for tackeling that also.

    • @Voxters
      @Voxters 11 месяцев назад

      @@Cassiusisback Ah i see! Yes, i had some experiments in that direction too, while i started with normal hubwheels, which i modified. But i decided to go with "baking wire", which gives an almost one piece solide copper core. And since ironless has no cogging by nature, it saved me from adding additional work too. All the credit for the TMC goes to Ultrawipf. He does an awesome job with FFBoard. Meanwhile i also work with Vesc, Odrive and SoloUNO.
