I went to Columbia Business School so you don't have to
I was invited to attend an Executive Leadership Course at Columbia Business School, focusing on Implementing Winning Strategies. This transformative experience deepened my understanding of leadership, team development, and product launches within a major proptech company. The invaluable corporate insights I gained are not just applicable to large organizations but can be game-changers for startup founders as well.
Recognizing the exclusivity of this course, I felt compelled to share its wisdom with a broader audience. That's why I created this video-to distill some of the key lessons and empower aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs who may not have access to such prestigious programs. My goa...

Your analysis of how Columbia Business School approaches customers and stakeholders was especially helpful. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts-this is valuable for anyone considering business school or wanting to understand more about stakeholder management!

      Sure! If you’re interested I have a long video all about the TwoSpace journey, from start to finish including the technology and how we hit a $10M valuation. It’s in the description. Overall the tech was really fun to develop and I was fortunate to have a tech cofounder who could code and build it. We found by building a platform that could show live which members were working from any location and their profiles - people would connect with each other and even decide to work from different locations to be closer to certain types of people. Lots of startups started within the twospace community which I am most proud of!

    This was very insightful. I was intrigued by the idea of a hybrid "ghost kitchen' concept of utilizing space during "dead hours". I also like the concept of high-impact, low-volume approach when choosing where to focus your attention.

      @thefailedfounder День назад

      Ghost kitchens are great, I actually had a bit on that but cut it out. I see a lot of restaurants leasing out their kitchen when it’s not used to other food operators who don’t have a kitchen in that area - it’s a great way for them to either do a food popup or make food and sell it on online food delivery apps!

    That simple model of customer focus is often overlooked by entrepreneurs. We want to start a business because we believe we have a great idea but sometimes we forget who exactly our customers will be! I also like real world experience best but sometimes academia has avenues for us to learn and use also. This is a good model for startups to use. 20% of your customers will bring 80% of your revenue. Define your customers and then market to that 20% first!

      I think doing it for the right reasons helps you stick to it. If you’re starting something just for the money or because it’s an escape from something else, it’ll be easy to get distracted and fizzle out. But if you’re really doing it because you are solving a problem you care about or in some cases have no other choice and need it to succeed and progress- you will stick it out for sure. That’s my experience at least, I have had heaps of side ideas I get excited about but never start or give up on because I didn’t “really” care about them. Hope that helps!
