Probably to artificially bump up their valuations. However, the market will not continue to be amused, or entertained by this wave of 'False Flag Tech'...kind of reminicant of the 2000 Tech Bubble/Enron and such all over again...

RealPage is a gross company. Pushing greed to the forefront only to hurt everyone needing a place to live rather rent or buying is monstrously evil on so many levels. The software can’t be looking at the income levels to inflationary levels they don’t match. Lots of apartments, condos and houses will sit empty for a long time. The amount of money these holders houses, apartments and condos are asking for don’t match size of property.

Apple found an edge for its AI push by leveraging their control of the phone. The question is how they will strong arm developers into giving up their content to power Apple Intelligence? Part of the reason Windows Phone didn't take off was because developers didn't buy into the "Hubs" idea of extracting content from apps and putting it in Microsoft's Metro UI experience. As much as Apple has years of user data, I'm sure its customers use way 3rd party apps daily than they do Apple's 1st party ones, and for Apple Intelligence to be "intelligent", it's going to need access to that 3rd party info. If developers' loose eyeballs to their apps, how do they monetize their efforts going forward while Apple finds ways to Sherlock them? Anyway, love seeing more brothers and sisters talking tech. Thanks.

It's just the opposite of what Steph is saying. They are doing this because it's China. They were ticked off because Tik Tok was indeed able to convince so many Americans to call into Congress, since Tik Tok is under China's control. It was the perfect demonstration of what they feared. What they are disingenuous about is fretting about American's privacy because, as Steph rightly pointed out, all the other American companies that invade your privacy that they don't do jack squat about except the occasional Congressional hearing and grill and browbeat CEOs for the news cameras and then turn around and give slaps on the wrists. Yes, Congress recently also past a privacy law with bipartisan support but, correct me if I'm wrong, but reportedly, the catch is the rules aren't as stringent as some states and states are prevented from enforcing more stringent provacy laws on companies than the Federal law.

Security is what Apple offers with their wallet not other developers wallets. If I were using a different brand of phone in the Android kingdom I would always wonder if that wallet was secure. Android is going to do what ever it please and every brand will do what it please as well. Apple will do whatever it please to secure their customers from hardware to software since all of it belongs to them.

There’s no monopoly they’re reaching for straws. They may want Apple to do what Google did with Android give it out. Remember what happened to all the Apple clones. Apple is the one that came after Microsoft, Palm, Blackberry and others that made a perfect system that brought Star Trek to the year 2007 and just left every manufacturer scrambling. They set the bar extremely high that no one has caught up to yet. They made their OS friendly the store awesome when no one wanted to keep their products in the old retail stores for decades, so they did themselves created their own store market online. It was the best thing that ever happened to them. If no one can’t deal with what they have created and the security don’t buy an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or even a Mac of any sort. There wasn’t a lot companies out there wanting to make software or hardware for Apple for decades. I will leave it there and let that sink into everyone’s mind. The powerful underdog getting picked on. lol 😆

I agree with you all 100 percent, oil companies will hold progress back. Oil companies are being extremely greedy, they act like it would be the end of oil that’s impossible. There are to many products that come from oil all through vehicles, we just don’t need to burn gas to get from A to Z. Electric vehicles is the way of the future especially self charging electric vehicles.

informative video. for those scrolling through the comments, I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps: 1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost. 2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell). 3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins. 4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of your faith and self-righteous works). 5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈 6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to know God's will for your life.

On the topic of does AI create something new. It doesn't really, it pulls from what you feed into it. So if it doesn't have many photos of black cats, it considers a black cat to be so low probability that it's basically always removed as being too inaccurate. Also AI has no concept of what it is showing it's just mashing together pixels then seeing if those pixels match up with other pixels it's seen. Even the idea of a doctor is more like a costume it can put on to something. So the AI is probably creating a black person, then putting a doctor 'costume' on them, but the AI "thinks" the skin color is part of the costume that makes something a 'doctor'. When I say things like "think" or "creates", or "does" or any verb for AI that is sort of misleading, the AI does zero thinking, it has no idea what concepts it's putting together. It's just smashing together pixels and comparing them to pixels it's been fed and trained on. Since it hasn't been fed black doctors it's just as confusing as asking it for a made up word, that's why you get the totally non-sensical images. You might as well ask it for a "Bozzle bop doctor".

Thanks @The Tech Jawn for posting this video about affirmative action / supreme court. Here are the viewpoints expressed by Supreme Court justices regarding affirmative action. 1) This case is about a group called Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) who sued Harvard College and the University of North Carolina (UNC). They said that these schools were not fair in their admissions process because they were using race as a factor, which they believed was against the law. The law they referred to is the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment*. 2) The Equal Protection Clause is a part of the Fourteenth Amendment that says that every person should be treated equally by the law, no matter their race, color, or nationality. The SFFA believed that by considering race in admissions, Harvard and UNC were not treating all applicants equally. 3) The Court looked at the history of the Fourteenth Amendment and how it has been used in the past. They also looked at how other cases involving race and college admissions were handled. They found that while diversity in a student body can be a good thing, it must be handled in a way that treats all applicants fairly and equally. 4) The Court also looked at the idea of "strict scrutiny*". This is a way for the courts to look at laws to see if they are fair and necessary. If a law or policy is found to be unfair or unnecessary, it may not pass strict scrutiny and could be considered unconstitutional. 5) The Court found that the admissions systems at Harvard and UNC did not pass strict scrutiny. They said that the schools' use of race in admissions was not clear or specific enough, and it resulted in fewer admissions for certain racial groups. They also said that the schools' use of race in admissions seemed to stereotype certain racial groups, which is not allowed. 6) The Court also said that the schools' admissions systems did not have a clear end point. This means that there was no clear plan for when the schools would stop using race as a factor in admissions. This was another reason why the Court said the schools' admissions systems were not fair. 7) The Court decided that the admissions systems at Harvard and UNC were not fair and did not follow the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. They said that the schools' use of race in admissions was not clear, specific, or fair enough to be allowed. 8) However, the Court also said that schools can consider how race has affected an applicant's life. They can look at how an applicant's experiences with their race have shaped them and what they can bring to the school because of those experiences. 9) In the end, the Court decided that the admissions systems at Harvard and UNC were not fair and did not follow the law. They said that the schools' use of race in admissions was not allowed because it was not clear, specific, or fair enough. 10) So, the Court decided that the SFFA was right. They said that Harvard and UNC were not treating all applicants equally in their admissions process, which is against the law. They said that the schools needed to change their admissions systems to be fair to all applicants, no matter their race. *The Equal Protection Clause is a part of the Fourteenth Amendment that says that every person should be treated equally by the law, no matter their race, color, or nationality. *Strict scrutiny is a way for the courts to look at laws to see if they are fair and necessary. If a law or policy is found to be unfair or unnecessary, it may not pass strict scrutiny and could be considered unconstitutional.
