Clever mat. I do this in a different way but this seems smart and efficient to get out who you are depending on the month you’re writing it. I’ve certainly changed year on year in so many areas but I believe your core self is always there. Keep these coming brother.

Hi Matt!! I am in the creator boost tribe. So happy I got to listen to this today🙏I believe journaling is the one key to setting my day up for any chance of positivity. Sorting out all the stuff on paper that I had no idea needed to be sorted. I started journaling after taking Julia Cameron's course The Artists Way. This was life changing for me. I’ve practiced with Natalie Goldberg for over 20 years. Have you read Writing Down the Bones? I think you would like it. Journaling is a foundational practice for me. I love that you shared your practice.

I have started journaling like that too, like Morning Pages, and I love how you explained that it isn't always a smooth process. I have trouble writing regularly. I tried to write a certain number of pages, but maybe a certain number of minutes may be the change that I need.

Great description of how you use journalling and how it helps. I find it hard to do so consistently. Do you feel that is necessary, ie. to have a consistent practice?

I really should get back into this! I did it years ago and it was so beneficial to creativity. Like you say, it's a workout for your mind, clearing out the cobwebs and making way for ideas. A great daily routine!
