So my love/obsession of the music I grew up on and to me what it's all about in the history of music that defines that spirit of RocknRoll. Usually in the form of guitar, drums, bass, and some good clean screaming vocals. Well I never saw Foghat live back in the day but been watching all I could find after having the time of my life on RUclips and let it keep playing as it hands out one well received suggestion for me after another. To finally see then live via old footage when some original lineup 1997 concert came on, I had to stop and play this song from 1997 and stunned with just how bad ass blues rocking and high energy these guys were. So then I see this one here. Wow. Live from 1974, and I get the first "like" hopefully of many to come. But Daves killer voice is what I remember most from radio airplay, and then I always siad what an incredible guitar player, and with nothing less for the drummer and bass player, I am blown away by Daves singing and also lead playing back and forth and complimenting that of one major mover in lead and slide, Mr Rod Price. Shocked he never became a household name for me and I feel guilty I let him "slide" by me . The chemistry of these original members is the epitome of good ole RocknRoll. I read the drummer Roger Earl has always been in the band throughout lineup changes and being a drummer myself, that is something few original band members have been able to do in a long term 50 year fashion. The bass player solid as rock and confident to do what he does so good while Rod goes wild and Dave is so full of the music in his soul, it can't help but get everyone going. Have I said enough? No. But I will stop here. Thanks for this video to enjoy. Awesome!
