Just an fyi on the long format assembly video, the narrator says taper down on the lock nut, but guy in video puts the beveled edge up.

Around 5:20 he says to install bearing nut w bevel side down but the guy in video installed it w the bevel up. What is the proper assembly technique?

Dosent look like a screw pump it looks more like hes assembling a shaft coupler. I dont know much about screw pumps but that definitely looks like a spider style shaft coupler.

We always referred to them as screw pumps. Used them in 800 psi hydrostatic testing of PVC pipe. Low volume high pressure

Have used these in a smaller application for high pressure.

Put the housing in the oven to grow by .002 to .004. Use spray lube on bearing fits. Never press dry. You could score the bore or damage the bearing.

Smaller ones are very popular as mailbox poles and slightly bigger ones are used as gate posts in my town. We used to have a paper mill, so people just "borrowed" all the stainless steel scrap that got switched out during annual overhauls and such. I've seen entire private streets with all the culverts made of stainless steel pipe anything from 6 inch to 12-14inch.
