Yeah no joke. Been there a few times. But not with heavy bike. Learning squid dirt bike tricks with a heavy bike is hard. Use kickstand to make walking turn. Easier to learn with dirt bike or low horse power and properly geared 1 st gear to creep. A board to spread weight of kickstand helps. Maybe find a board to fit in seat bags if your gonna be in sand. You have inspired me to film some squid tricks to learn before getting a bigger bike. I went from old yamaha 360 enduro to a Buell Ulysses. I feel like a beginner again.

Did you try a kick stand turn? Not sure how heavy bike is. But even on wifes sportster I am able to spin it around on kick stand. It's good practice to try kick stand turn when at home.

I dumped my Ulysses in my mom's driveway trying to ride the hump between the mud holes. The wet grass got me one tire each side of the hump. Should of went through the mud hole. What a great fellow motorcyclist.

Frankly the only issue is not practicing how to lift it. ...and a small issue is dropping the bike due to what looks like riding sand for the 1st time. Happens to lotsa folks. On the upside you were in no danger from the powerlines. There is a good way to guesstimate how far they can arc. There are those plate shaped ceramic disks strung onto the powerline where it connects to thr tower. Well those are there to prevent arc hitting the tower and electrocuting a poor folk who touches it. So they are longer than how far electricity can arc from said powerline (which depends o. Its voltage). And if you are stuck like situagion like you are currently, and really outta your dept... ...well you break off sturdy stick and dig a biit of ground so that ,ou have a ramp in front of the rear wheel to make things easyer for yourself. (Though with revving and proper clutch control you could have gotten out of that, and not dropped the bike in the first place if you moved your bottom farther back and were lighter on handlebars as a result - so issue is 99% panic, which is well, it happens sometime when peopld get surprised by sand or other low traction for 1st time)
