The music ruined this video. All I heard was the loud annoying music. What I didn't hear, was the food sizzling, people talking or any explanation on how it was done or how challenging it was to cook for the other men on the trail. The sights were great but that was it. Sorry.

I enjoyed your presentation and the way you give the information without making a judgement call or telling viewers what to think. Well done. I've been through Hico several times. For anyone with questions about the death of the Kid, I recommend a book by New Mexico Historian David G. Thomas, called "Billy the Kid's Grave." There are hundreds of footnotes to primary sources for everything Mr. Thomas puts forth, including the eyewitness reports from many residents of, and travelers through Fort Sumner who were there the night of July 14, 1881. Several of them were giving interviews again in the 1920s, 1930s and even about 1940. And along with that, one should read what Pat Garrett and Deputy John W. Poe actually wrote about that night. Don't take the word of folks who claim this or that about Garrett's story without going direct to the source. Their books are available free on the Internet. Be careful of what people say about this or that without citing a source.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. It's a fascinating story that people feel strongly about, and that's what makes it so interesting. Texas has so many towns with rich histories.
