Haha ! “Wasn’t” prepared ! It’s funny getting a questionable response to a video! Yes I was but when you own a number of camera bodies of all manufacturers and mp …when you say something there’s that element of am I right or wrong. So that why I say believe!

@ honestly I’m pretty sure you’re right ;) I did have it years ago when everyone started changing to Sony cameras I started buying and selling cameras to make some extra income.. so had a bunch of cameras that friend didn’t want anymore and was selling to make way for their Sony kit.. it was a fast way to upgrade with out the huge cost! But soon I got the bug and changed to Sony but I’ve been good the last 3 years I’ve only bought one new camera (for video). As the newer models don’t have anything new worth buying ! Yet ;)

Thank you . That’s strange it’s plays back okay on three of my devices in “ high picture quality “ setting though annoyingly the writing does blur in the computer capture software. Something I really want to work on for other videos

Will take a look and see and get back to you see if I worded it wrong .. but - I think it’s a setting I may have missed in the video .. when in the apply image section once you select subtract on right bottom there will appear two boxes with numbers they need setting to offset 128 and scale 2 some people this isn’t set mine was from previous. Hope this helps and sorry learning this side of sharing

@@adriandayphotography Thanks. You also mentioned that you select Layer 1 Copy. Should this be just Layer 1?

If you have more than one layer I would suggest doing a stamp visible ctrl + alt + shift + E Then click on the new layer and make two copies of that layer . Turn off the top and select the first copy remember the name of this layer (layer 1 normally if new copy) blur that layer .. then click the top layer back on and select then got to image -apply image select the blurred layer (layer 1 ) change blend mode of subtract and make sure the scale and offset are 128-2 it should look like a grey with a slight noticeable image .. then click okay Then click top layer and change bland mode to linear light it should look like a normal picture again. Select the blurred layer (layer 1) and drop the opacity and you should see the image sharpen .. hope that helps

@@adriandayphotography Thanks and now have it up and running. It was the offset scales that required attention. Having run it a few times I do notice that despite blurring at about 5 the Apply Image does over sharpen a little. So, a balance between both sliders, Good tip though and I will use.

@@geoffreykingston4866 spot on you have the right idea I find depending how sharp and what sort of project you’re working on, then moving both the sliders and finessing the outcome really works. Also if you group the blurred layer and the detail layer and pop them in a file then add a mask you can paint in where you want your sharpening. And it becomes more selective but also if you use a low fill/ opacity brush you can control the amount pain back. Glad you got to grips with it .. it’s definitely handy when you just missed the tac sharpness and way to bring a little pop. I have another video coming for the use of the same filter so please keep your eyes out for that .. and thanks for watching my video! It’s much appreciated!
