Had this on VHS, great performances... Balance is my favourite Van Halen album. I remember rolling on the floor laughing from Jon Stewart's description of DLR singing at 40:50... Mike and Sammy laughing their asses off too... great times

Gracias Rafa! por regalarme una hora de mi adolescencia. Energy 98.1 fue mi compañera de cuarto de 1989 a 1995. No soy de Laredo TX pero la estación tenía tal potencia que llegaba hasta Coahuila. Cómo olvidar todas estas mezclas del sábado por la noche, yo también las grababa en cassette. Pienso que esta es de 1993 porque "Mr. Vain" de Culture Beat es de 1993 y también se escucha por ahí "Shoop" de Salt N' Pepa y es también del otoño de 1993. Ojalá tuvieras más, este audio es prácticamente el único vestigio que queda de esta frecuencia en aquellos años. Ahora que tocan música Country y se llama Big Buck 98.1, pareciera que Energy 98.1 nunca existió.
¿La señal de la 98.1 llega hasta Coahuila? ¿En que ciudad de Coahuila estas broder? Por cierto, gracias por tu comentario.
Llegaba hasta Saltillo, Coahuila. O_o Pero sólo a las afueras de la ciudad y no todos los receptores captaban la señal. De día entraba ruido pero de noche se escuchaba perfecto. Te estoy hablando de 1989/1995, ya no vivo ahí. Era principios de los 90's cuando estaba de moda el freestyle de los puertorriqueños como George Lamond/ "Bad of the heart", Lisette Melendez/"A Day In My Life" y Corina/"Temptation". Y el house/techno/dance de Technotronic, C&C Music Factory, Blackbox. Después llegó el Eurodance a arrasar. Muy buenos recuerdos. El rock era mainstream, el pop estaba muerto y todos esos grupos entraron al quite.

I verified the claims some of you commenting here made about this concert being in Pensacola, FL and I'm glad to say you were all correct. I sincerely thought it was in Phoenix, AZ simply because MTV taped most of its 1995 Spring Break specials there. I apologize for my mistake. I stand corrected.
