For all of you who felt the show should have been stopped. Think for a moment what a no win situation that was. Yes, they could have stopped the show. But here is the true honest deal, all those thousands and thousands of fans in the arena that night along with those watching on pay per view cared long enough for Owen Hart and those other wrestlers, commentators, and other crew until it came time for them to scream they wanted their money back. Then wanting their money back would have been the ONLY thing all those people would have truly cared about. People are in fact that cruel when it comes to their additional beer money. Disgusting in fact. To compound things from another perspective would have been to stop the show and then further have to deal with selfish fans and their refunds. I know to continue the show was unpopular as well. So, a no win either way in my opinion. As far as what happened, it was sadly a very negligent accident that ended up not taking all safety precautions into consideration. A extra safety line or extra safety harness would have looked too fake apparently. Or even an extra hard locking release latch. All things that were foregone in an effort to be authentic looking. You are going to find yesterday, today, as well as tomorrow and on into the future, where there is money that can be made, safety will for the most part always take a backseat. It's why addictions will continue to be problems, marijuana, nicotine, alcohol abuse, etc., as long as it is legal or even illegal and sold under the cover of darkness, and makes money, safety isn't really emphasized enough. It is part of how motor vehicles become a weapon.

Him sitting up is new for me. Never knew he sat up after the fall. My best guess is the adrenaline kicked in and made him not feel pain for a second or two. Then I’m guessing he past out and eventually died due to hemorrhaging from the brain and his chest. If anyone knows that the corner turnbuckle doesn’t have that much soft padding. A fall from that distance and hitting his vital organs could mean nearly instant death. I hope his death was quick and painless. Owen never should’ve been the blue blazer to begin with. His charisma and ring work made him a legend that can pull off any gimmick. Owen was truly a beautiful person and one of the best wrestlers.

I was watching this PPV at home when it happened. We were in High School, and we thought it was part of the show. Even when they came back on and said he had passed away, we still thought it was fake because they didn't end the show. It wasn't until the news came on later that we knew that it was real. RIP Owen

I seen a video of an African American woman who said she had binoculars and seen someone push Owen Hart that day. This video has been removed from RUclips and I cannot find any other information on Google now. Someone is trying to cover their tracks. Vince McMahon is untouchable and has the power to do this. I was there that night also. We could see people up in the rafters on that catwalk, didn't know what they were doing. I don't remember it that well, I do remember seeing someone drop down into the ring, then seeing him trying to get up. I thought it was part of the show for quite a while. Like this man said, we couldn't hear J.R. and the King so we didn't know what was going on. The catwalks they used in Kemper Arena that night have been removed now.

Back in the 70s Linda Moulton Howe a journalist was looking into cattle mutilation what she found out was organs was taken but without anything showing it on the outside of the animal.
