Completely agree! Fuenteseca is spectacular. 1146 is known for their anejo + XA but their blancos don’t get nearly enough praise. Thank you for watching!
Great review and solid points about who this will be catered to palette wise. For me this is an 88/89. I really enjoy the boldness of the nose and palette. My taste leans towards salty savory umami than sweet. No data to backup the presupposition that I feel like the American pallete prefers sweet/smooth. Sweet tequila notes are great and have thier place for sure and depends on what you prefer at a particular moment. This tequila is special and hits my pallete well.

Just got a winter blend 2019, only paid 112,50€ really got lucky on this one. Now I’m trying to figure out when to open it. But as Lou says, you can’t take it with you, so might just crack it and enjoy. Have a good one everybody! ✌️😁
awesome find!! I was lucky enough to find this one in late 2021 for $87 USD. you're absolutely right, you cant take it with you. So why not just try it out! Happy sipping
Thanks for this review. Huge Volans fan. It’s one of those brands where if you see it on the shelf you don’t think just grab. Just picked up a single barrel aged in French oak vs the bourbon American oak exclusively made for my state. Cant wait to open and try for special occasion. This XA sits on the shelf and I eyeball it every time waiting for a big deal to close so I can justify the purchase. This certainly helps

Amazing find, like needle in a haystack in 2023?! Are you serious! Winter Blend 2021 & 2022 selling for £300 for both here, should I pull the plug?
thats really tough honestly, because winter blends are so rare. WB 2022 was going for anywhere from 150-350 USD. 2021 is likely up in price because its been more than a year since release. i have heard that 19 and 21 are the crown jewels of that WB series. It does seem a tiny bit over market value though. Best of luck!
What do you think about Cazcanes?
Cazcanes has just recently become available where I live. It's supposed to be one of the best brands, but I haven't tried it yet myself. They have a really unique flavor profile that a lot of people describe as "cheesy and funky" so I'm interested to see whether or not I'll like it!

You really pulled the trigger on the 600 USD XA, I respect that. It's been sitting in my cart for weeks. Love the light-colored agave forward XA from 1579. Its very tempting to pick up this bottle but Im trying to decide between this and the Fuenteseca 7 year.at 300 USD and still have enough for the regular Volans XA or G4 XA. Great review!

Señor Fresh Tonik, to find qualities that are so refined in a mid-shelf is truly a tough task. Some do stick out though. Volans, the brand I spoke about in this video, makes both a small batch reposado and a single barrel reposado. They're both under $75, and are freaking delicious. I would also say El Tesoro Anejo is another one that is super high quality and not as astronomically priced.
