I watched your video and your mindset is probably similar to mine when it comes to NGS, except you have to deal with Global side only stuff because I stayed on JP. NGS biggest issue is Sega sticking to the Pso2 Formula while also streamlining a lot of things from it ,NGS it wastes the open world and while the story has finally started to pick up we get fed bits of it when Sega deem is worthy. There are many things NGS fixes or improves on from base game but it rarely wants to innovate the combat/bossing aspects or the tried and tested format of base game, often giving us a worse experience because of the open world. I came conlusion that I'll keep playing and enjoying NGS but I log in get my shit done then play my backlog of JRPG. I'll probably drop NGS when and if Blue Protocol Star Resonance (CN ver of BP) is good , so far it looks good.

NGS's open world is so tiny. Most of the time they recycle the map and use a section of it to make urgent quests. I would have been nice if there's something to do on the open world sections other than collecting stuff. I also noticed that they are trying to mimic what guild wars 2 is doing on low level maps, but had pretty much abandoned it (damage cap on certain maps, etc. so overlevelled players are on parity with low level players on low level maps).

Its almost feels clickbait. I have level 90 plenty of times. Almost all classes play the same, gear upgrade feels weak and pointless, It seems all this game is now is a waifu builder hiding behind a MMO and lottery scratch off. As a seasoned player, this game is going to crash and burned up. Sad to see this beautiful game with potential, just slow bleed to death. We all keep up with updates, but rarely does sega delivers on what it promises.

PSO of any version would have a future if they stopped with their egregiously greedy attempts at monetising the player base - ESPECIALLY when it comes to ‘but tHeY’rE OptIoNaL’ cosmetic loot box (yeah yeah yeah, vouchers whatever semantics). Stop with this free to play LIE, and follow suit with the established and long-running MMO heavyweights: FFXI, WoW, and FFXIV. Monthly sub. DIRECT COSMETIC PURCHASE. Storage rental that does not cripple normie game play, but leverages hoarders. I’m quite positive that I’m not the only one who shunned this game over the years because of this rubbish, but would come back instantly if changed. I’m also quite positive I’m not a rare case in this regard, either.

i dont think this game has a future unless they change the direction(also director duuh..) or they make new phantasy star game that its lore wont directly connected to the PSO2 at all since this is what i think made NGS falls apart especially on story departments, since you know we're technically removes Dark falz origin rather than defeats it until it came back
