Boy, we could build stuff back in the 60's and 70's. Great Britain doesn't have the skills and knowledge to build this equipment today. RIP indeed.

I was one in one of the last years of Ordsall Hall before they opened then new Oaks campus. Seeing these photos and the floor plan brought years of memories flooding back, thank you for creating x

I always thought it was a listed building. In my opinion there was nothing wrong with old sports centre..

Towers and the stack are last to go. Earned some good £ on the outages back in the day. My local.... Fiddlers, has a stay of execution.

Nice sunset pics. Why did they demolish the turbine hall but not the cooling towers? Seems strange.

I was there from 1973-1978. Loved this school.

I was there 1971-76. we were the last of the small school, as the new part opened 72. I have nothing but great memories of the place, great teachers and a good school.

I attended this school from 1990-1997 and having just learnt about its demolition - in particular my old sixth form - the Old Hall - am gutted. Just don't how they got away with it! Have wonderful memories.

Nicely put together I enjoyed watching the sunset and I do miss it

I was in sixth form in this hall until I left in 89, had music lessons with duke, good times, there was an underground tunnel we would smoke in and cellar lol, sad to see the place gone.

10 minute photo visit and 30 minutes on the computer when i got home! Not bad but if the feeling is there the subject will shine. This is right where im at and all i want to do, i need more moody places!!!!

When you have a corrupt council with people at the top who have been found to conduct someone elses business for there own financial gain, then having parts of an historic town demolished is not supprising. To the so called business man at the top, my lawers are watching.
