    Nice video bro I have the 94 extended cab step side. Wondered what this would look like, you convinced me it's a way better look. Just wish I had the same color as you for my step side.

    What material did you use for the headliner to look puffy? How did you put the buttons on?

    • @nopalito350
      @nopalito350 5 месяцев назад

      I used pillow material and the buttons. If I were to do it again, I would use metal ones I have no issue with them yet. However, I used plastic ones and I just stitched it with a really thick sewing yarn, almost like boot stitching. And I just used a bigger needle to stitch it straight to the headliner.

      I used cardboard to stencil it out and cut it out of quality plywood, then router the edges. I test for everything screwed it together and used plastic wood cover any holes and stain it. Also, use some door trim to fill the rest of the gap. There is a part one of this video too. If you want to check it out, I kind of explain a little bit.

    I've heard, but have not yet verified, the wheel cylinders for the drum brakes are also a problem for these trucks. When you're down to roughly 40% on the brake shoes, the piston can be pushed out of the wheel cylinder causing damage and a fluid leak of course. I just purchased a 1998 model and sure enough, this is one of the discoveries so far. I performed repairs to the rear brakes with a full system bleeding and I still have a soft pedal, but no more warning light. Thanks for sharing this. I can't see any harm with this upgrade. I shall do it too.

  • @patrickbodine1300
    @patrickbodine1300 Год назад

    You must bleed the master cylinder before reattaching the brake lines. Pro tip: after bleeding the new m/c, replace the cap on the reservoir. It will prevent leakage while replacing the brake lines.

    Use heavy fisshing line on new vehicles. Slide line behind and use an up down sawing motion to cut tape. Safer than a knife.
