@@GENerationXplorers Hey Nick and Jill. Definitely a must see when you visit the Rockies. Because of the devasting bushfires in July last year that burnt down thousands of hectares of forest and a third of the town of Jasper, that area of the National Park has been negatively impacted unfortunately. We will do a follow up in June this year to see what is and isn't destroyed. Very sad indeed. Hopefully, the Maligne lake area isn't totally gone as it is one of the most beautiful landscape in the Rockies as you can see on this video. Have a great Sunday guys 😊

@@HikeToWildlife Definitely lucky to have spotted that bald eagle in the nest with its chick in the distance. I couldn't see the chick until I zoomed in on it as it was a couple of hundred metres away. Glad you enjoyed the cruise to one of the most beautiful place in the Rockies. Have a great Sunday ☺️

Maligne lake is one of our favourite areas in the Rockies but I fear the area will be quite different next time we visit after the terrible bushfire last July. Merci Serge❤️. Oui, pour nous aussi, on ne se lasse pas d'aller voir ça presque tous les ans🙏. Helas, comme tu l'a mentionné, avec les feux de forêt l'an dernier, ca a du vraiment défiguré ce paysage qui était si beau😪. Nous irons voir en Juin quand nous serons sur place (si c'est praticable). Les fêtes de fin d'année se sont bien passé en famille mais avec des chaleurs étouffantes, donc à l'intérieur comme vous mais avec la climatisation au lieu du chauffage😛😉. Nous arrivons au bout du projet, et avec un peu de chance, nous emmenagerons fin Fevrier. Les peintures sont faites à l'intérieur, donc maintenant il faut faire toutes les finitions ainsi que les salles de bain, cuisine etc. J'enverrai quelques photos la semaine prochaine. Grosses bises à Hélène et toi et bon weekend aussi. 🥰❤️😘

My only regret was the overcast weather, but it did add a serene atmosphere to the experience. The loop trail was a nice way to enjoy some seldom sunny spells and the eatery was a welcome break for lunch. I hope you and Alf have a great upcoming New Year celebration with friends and family. Bonjour Serge. C'était une belle pagaie en canoë et il fut dommage que le temps était couvert. On voulait aller faire une pagaie sur Moraine Lake mais hélas avec les nouvelles normes pour y accéder, ca faisait extremement cher. Donc Lac Émeraude était le plan B. Je dois reconnaître que ce n'ai pas donné non plus, mais moins cher néanmoins. Il y a hélas de plus en plus de monde à lac emeraude depuis que Moraine Lake a changé l'accès en voiture privée. La randonnée autour du lac, nous l'avions déjà fait en 2016, et c'est un petit sentier relativement facile a part quelques endroits assez boueux et défoncés mais avec de belles vues autour du lac et des montagnes. J'espère que Hélène et toi avons passe un bon Noel en famille et que vous allez bien célébrer et arroser la nouvelle année🎆✨ Bises a vous deux et bon weekend.😘🥰❤️

Yes indeed 👍. It is pretty scary to see a grizzly up close in the wild whilst hiking. I have and it is not a good feeling that's for sure.

They were magnificent creatures and although I couldn't attend the guided tour with a chest infection and bronchitis ( I didn't want to constantly cough and annoy everybody including the wolfdogs), so I stayed outside on the car. I did go around the sanctuary but not on the tour. The girls loved it and couldn't stop raving about it on our way back home. Merci Serge. Oui, en effet, ce sanctuaire était très intéressant avec les chiens-loups. Il est dommage que je n'ai pu assister a la visite guidee a cause de la grippe et bronchite qui me faisait tousser incessament, donc je suis rester dans l'auto mais j'ai fait le tour du sanctuaire vite fait et filmer un peu. Heureusement que ma fille etait la pour prendre le relai, et comme tu dis, elle s'est très bien débrouillé. D'ailleurs, c'est elle qui filmer avec le Go-Pro a partir du toit ouvrant de la voiture pendant son séjour quand il ne pleuvait pas😁. Je vois que vous avez travaillé très fort et que vous devez avoir hâte de vous reposer juste avant les fetes de Noel. Je pense que tu vas peut être avoir à embaucher des lutins supplémentaires l'an prochain si ca continue😉😛👏. Helene doit être ravie d'avoir bien vendu ces cartes. Bravo! La maison avance vite et avec un peu de chance, nous devons emménager à la mi-Février 🙏🤞. Grosses bises a tous les deux et à bientot sur Facetime❤️😘🥰.

It was a great find as we were on a road trip and had to alter our plans due to yours truly being sick with a chest infection and bronchitis, hence why I stayed in the carpark and let the girls enjoy the wolfdogs instead.
