On this channel, you are likely to see mostly passing trains, mostly through Gaffney, South Carolina (milepost 432.5 on the NS Charlotte District), and possibly other localities around Upstate South Carolina, as they are the only remaining interest I have left.
That being said, the trains are the stars of my videos, meaning that, while you may hear my voice in the background from time to time, you will NEVER see my ugly face on camera on this channel, or anywhere else.

24X Daily Northbound Intermodal Atlanta, GA to Croxton, NJ. I didn't have my scanner with me when I filmed this. In fact, the only reason I knew this was 24X was because it was reported on the Heritage Units App.

First train: NS 154 Daily Northbound Manifest train Irondale, AL to Linwood, NC The second train is its southbound counterpart 153. Side note: 153 may not have been as long, but I heard 154 say over the radio that they were 8,800 feet long. Enough to warrant 2 mid train DPUs.

NS 25A Southbound Daily Intermodal Jersey City, NJ, (Croxton Yard) to Atlanta, GA (Inman Yard) Filmed in Grover, North Carolina. Train was clocked at 56 mph. Apologies for the partially out of focus video. (The camera on my phones suck). In fact, if it wasn't for the Wabash heritage unit being the trailing engine, this video would have likely not been posted and deleted immediately.

NS 154 Daily Northbound Mixed freight Irondale, AL to Linwood, NC Since I got the new antenna appliances, I've actually been able to hear the train crews call out signals better, except in this instance. I was changing batteries because my goddamn scanner eats them.

Congratulations on your first sighing of the Conrail heritage unit! I unfortunately didn't get to see 282. Eh, oh well. I've seen the Conrail 3 times, so it's no big deal to me.
That's actually the second time I've caught it. The other time was on 27A very late at night at Charlotte Junction back in December.
By the way, to any viewers unfamiliar with railroad jargon, "knocking down" the signal is just the term for passing a green signal changing to red as the train passes. They aren't literally knocking down the signal mast.
It looks like the two engines P09 has been using.

Gaffney is one of the best nighttime railroad towns ever.
I like it because it's decently lit. And they often fly through here, like this one did.
I really like how you stayed focused in one spot. We see the headlight refect in the windows across the tracks before we see the train itself. That and the horn build tension to good effect.

It’s those units that have that stupid trip optimizer… makes trains run on auto about 35 mph the whole way

That's what I was figuring, but didn't want to say anything in case it wasn't. That's why I don't like train watching without my scanner. Gaffney sits right smack dab between two defect detectors, Blacksburg at MP 427.0 and Thicketty at MP 437.6, so when I have my scanner, I know when they're coming.
P09 is a Charlotte to hayne yard in Spartanburg turn job.. takes 153’s Charlotte cars to hayne

Looks like there was an extra View.inter Sleeper in the consist
I wish they could have the new Siemens Charger Diesel Locomotives leading on the Crescent, I think it would be so cool to have it leading on the Crescent, looks like the Crescent had an extra passenger car in the consist as well
I think that's the eventual plan, to have the Chargers take over leading all trains, but I guess they're still using the P42s while they still can.
