Snowy Movies for Midwinter
Sometimes you just need a good seasonal movie. Sometimes you just want to see some cold and snow (one of these movies might not actually be a snow movie on further review). Whether you want all snow all the time or just a little of snow for seasonal variety, here are some recommendations for Winter.

04:40 By the Law (not as much of a snow movie as I remembered, but a cold one)

Sitcoms Can Be Cinematic Too
Просмотров 5621 день назад
The Graduate is a seminal work of the 1960s, helping to launch both the career of Dustin Hoffman and provide the spark leading to New Hollywood. It also uses the language of film throughout with stylistic flourishes and artistic elements that make it unmistakably cinematic. In this video I'll go over a few scenes to demonstrate that. 00:00 What Is Cinematic? 00:48 The Graduate 02:28 Scene 1 04:...

Compared to today's fare, horror movies from many decades ago may seem tame. In this video I'll give a brief overview of some prominent ones and end with a few recommendations depending on what you're looking for. Weekend at the Movies: Furiosa, Evil Does Not Exist
you mean the Whale? sorry but it does not dye!!! if you look at the end of the credits you see the whale swiming!! why? becasue the flood are recuring!! the clues is at the begining.. when you see the cat walking home and you see a boat on the tree! so these floads are recuring... actlualy at the end is may be the cat and frieds will dye§!! as the flood will come back... the only difference they are not alone no more so they may live or dye together!
Very timely. Sator is a movie that I enjoy more and more as time passes since I watched it. It really captures that deep Appalachia creepy.
Great video brother!
I really enjoyed your analysis of Flow, and I wanted to add one quick note. You mentioned how impactful it was to see Cat comforting the (big fish) at the end, but did you notice how he purred when he got closest to the fish? Cats purr, not necessarily to let you know they like you, but as a sign of comfort. He could have been comforting himself, but more likely, he was comforting the fish in the most cat-like way as he lay dying. Truly heartfelt.
You know I actually didn't notice that when I watched it, probably too busy crying, but I saw that was a line in the script. Gonna have to listen for that whenever I watch it again, good catch!
@timwatchesmovies Thank you for the emotional and great review! I'm from Latvia, where this film has been created, and we all are so proud of the Flow team, especially now, when it has already won the Golden Globe (first time ever for a Latvian movie!). But regarding the end-scene with the dying whale (or catfish) I'd just want to ask if you also managed to see the very-very last episode / scene - after all the end credits? It may cheer you up! :)
Unfortunately I did not, I've gotten out of the habit of checking if movies have one! It is another reason to look forward to a rewatch though, hoping for a physical release soon 🤞
@@timwatchesmovies It was just released on Prime as a streaming option. It's $17.99 to own in HD. There's no physical media release info yet. And @inguralipsane5162, I did see the end credits scene. Tim will be happy to see that on his next viewing. Also, thank you to Latvia for giving us such a beautiful film. I can't even begin to describe how I've connected with it.
It has become my favorite film of all time beating out all this auteur cinema on the top of my list.
lets go!
Completely agree.
Post credit scene!
Oh I may have completely missed that 👀
@timwatchesmovies I did on first viewing but uses the sun beautifully and features the whale/catfish
Flow-awesome cinema film! Super!Bravissimo Latvia!
You are so handsome I accept all your recommendations. No questions asked.
"Lesotho 🇱🇸, pronounced lee-soo-too. "I guess my comment was prematurely made, I saw your apology a few seconds later 😅 so I also had to edit and apologize. Great video❤
Highly intellectual appraisals and language. So easy to assimilate and it is palatable. A truly wonderful analytical exercise. Very edifying and concise
Great video! ill definetely check the ones out I havent seen You should check out some Romanian films I recommand Forest of the Hanged based on a book by one of the most celebrated Romanian writers, Liviu Rebreanu
I should, I've only seen The Death of Mr. Lazarescu but I liked that quite a bit.
Oh yes. From Thomas Edison to 1970s grindhouse horror. Watch it all. I have to admit Jason and Freddy Kruger bored me to death. Rob Zombie is an imaginative horror filmmaker. Dan Curtis who did made for TV horror from Dark Shadows to made for TV horror movies and also the Kolchak: The Night Stalker TV series are greatness.
Thanks for recommending Panique, never heard of it even though I’ve seen several of Michel Simon’s other films
If it's in black and white, it's noir. If it's in color, it's neo-noir.
Noir also has to be from the 40’s and 50’s
Yesssssss, they're better than any of the modern junk ... watch BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, CAT PEOPLE just for starters
I am on the team. Well done sir.
Great video, big fan of some of these and planning to check out others. Would also recommend (these are franchises but I don't mean to watch them all), the first Ring movie (1998, the Japanese adaptation) is amazing and one of my favorites. Also definitely cannot go wrong with The Exorcist. Happy October everyone!
i love this list i always rewatch scream every halloween such a classic
Thank you very much for covering this film ❤ From Bhutan
Great list here. Thanks for this video man gave me lots of movies to watch and some I forgot I loved and need to re-watch! Have a good October
Awesome video. Concise and straightforward. You deserve more views. Liked and commented to hopefully help your algorithm.
Great list.

Thank you for introducing them. Do you know the link of "Invincible"? It is this year's nominee for live action short film...
I haven't gotten to the live action shorts yet. IIRC the only ones I saw offhand were the Knight one which is on youtube I think and one of the other nominees is on Netflix.
Where can we watch them? I could only find pachyderm to watch
