It's now illegal to anchor the putter or do croquet style stroke anywhere on and off the greens. You must stand to the side your foot can't be on the line of the putt. I've got a few face on putters, Juan putter, GP, Bobby Grace, STX and the Juan is my favorite. Good weight, sound off the face is a soft click kind of in between an insert and metal sound but nice. Best part is the head is as wide as the hole and the white stripe is as wide as the ball. Aiming is really stress free I just line up, feel the speed and focus on hitting through the ball exactly on the white stripe. It feels natural and I'm a much better putter doing side saddle than traditional.

The song is so catchy, I love it. Can you put like this with a 35 inch putter?

The spoof of Guantanamera made me laugh hard! I've used a traditional side-saddle putter for awhile, so I'll have to give this a look.
I thought the croquet stroke was illegal from any where -- the song is nice to Tango to btw
rule 16-1e. You can not straddle your line of putt. Only exception is if you are avoiding someones line when tapping in, otherwise you cant straddle. Saying it's legal is simply wrong, it's not. Side saddle ok though. ie stand to the side of your line. The line is an imaginary line extending from the cup through your golf ball, you must stay to the side of this line whilst putting. Hope that clears it up for people.
I'm pretty sure from looking at other sites that review the rules that you can legally straddle your putting line if you are off the green. If you review the video above you will see that when he straddles the putt he of off the green.
