Kinect only games won't work and the adapter won't have a response. So, sadly Microsoft fully killed Kinect 😢 (by x I assume you mean the series x not the one x)
I am trying to setup my generic controller as a ps one with X, circle, square and triangle but I can seem to get it to work do you know of a way I can get it to work?
