My guess is, this is a song about her troubled relationship with her mother, and her younger years in childhood going into adulthood, and how she felt ignored by her own mother.

That changed when she wrote her book,telling your chikd you fell off a horse on purpose to lose her,sexually abused by mike edwards prissy pants ex boyfriend,knowing what happened.asjed her who ahe thought she was,said she was nothing.

The fact that she wrote this for her son after his suicide and she said "my heart cant take it" and then she dies from cardiac arrest. Its heartbreaking. I just read her memoir and its heartbreaking. This woman has been through so much loss and grief, a few failed marriages, people using her for her name, not being taken seriously as her own person, issues with her mom and addiction. But through all that, you can see the love she had for her children. She loved them all so much, in their own ways. Its bittersweet

Lisa should’ve never believed the crap Priscilla fed her about Michael. You can see she fell for it and lost trust & felt scared. MJ also lost trust in her and thought she was dangerous and scary too. That’s why he didn’t get back with her despite going back & forth. Lisa went though a mental and physical breakdown as whiplash from this relationship. IMO it was her soul telling her she made a mistake by leaving. Her brain and heart were in conflict.

This is one of my favorite songs, not only of Lisa Marie’s music, but of all…. It hit something inside of me the first time I heard it ….. but all of her music was great. It was so sad that so many people compared her music to her father’s, which is part of the reason she did not do anything when she was younger. She had a gift, but it was all her own, not an extension of Elvis’ and she just wanted to be heard for herself. It is just so sad that her life ended so early, but there was so much loss, and so much heartbreak ….. it just gets so heavy that you get to the point where you just can’t go on …. 🥺

Elvis loss affected her so much coz he was the only loving parent she had. Priscilla was a narcissistic mother who saw her as a burden & problem and her boyfriend SA’d Lisa for years from ages 10-14.. it’s in her memoir.. it’s harrowing.. Priscilla did not protect this child, she just dumped her in a cult.

Mygod I love this song , yes she felt sorry to her mom, it’s really hard for her as well as her mom and people don’t understand that it’s really hard to be a mother to her , losing Elvis hard to both of them , specially Priscilla so young also that time. Her voice was so unique! Having a relationship with a normal person is not easy and 50-60% of married couples divorce. Imagine trying to nourish a relationship when your life is like been put in a blender spinning around. Even if they loved each other deeply the chances of growing old together and having children were extremely slim/impossible. With what time and privacy? She was like 25 and he was like 35 with zero experience dealing with serious relationships and she too young and with to many traumas. Im glad that at least they had some happy moments together.

I have Lisa Marie's first tw CDs & listen to both of them often. I wasn't aware she had a third & after listening to all of the tracks, I just purchased a copy on eBay. Many times artists have unreleased music. If this happens to be the case, I hope they'll consider sharing it with her fans. What a beautiful & unique voice, gone way too soon.
