I'll be honest, I'm dumbstruck by videos like this where the maker is in view of real antiques, yet they always pan away to feature 1960s/1970s kitsch made in Japan. I'd love to view a decent multi-generational estate sale in the Southeast where they focus on genuine 19th century items. All the content on youtube seems infatuated with crap.

If there is stuff you really want at these sales sometimes you just have to do what you have to do - acting like Lady Margery just ends up in you loosing out

Some people just dont like to see other people getting stuff - when i was selling there was a guy buying a lot of stuff which was great - but this seemed to annoy another lady and she started grabbing stuff and holding on to it. I assumed she was going to pay for it when she had finished looking - when the guy who bought a lot of stuff and finished and gone she put all the stuff she grabbed back and didnt buy any of it - she just didnt want to see him getting it - What a twisted bi*****h - I hope your not like that

Of course a lot of that garbage was leftovers from previous estate sales elsewhere and stuff bulk bought for peanuts by the estate sale organisers - Only on very few occasions you would find a house/estate with that amount of worthless old tat - nothing is ever as it is made to appear
