Great movie, this scene isn’t realistic though. If Billy intended to totally ignore the team’s scouts he wouldn’t meet with them or if he did it wouldn’t be this kind of meeting. The situation would be handled just like they handle player trades. They don’t pile players in a room with no intent to listen to them. GM’s just trade players and then they let the player know when it’s done. This whole scene was done for the movie and not how it would have played out.
