DLSMusicDevice, included with every Mac, uses the QuickTime Music Synthesizer DLS (similar to soundfont) sample set. It's a Roland SC-55-based sample set with very similar sound to the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth used for default playback of .mid files in Windows. I also have Windows 11 on this machine;) She's the best of both worlds!
