Monte seat brackets, battery box, and spare tire panel
what size rear tire is that? im trying to run a 305/45/17 😮 dont know if ill have to tub it or if i can get away with a frame. notch
Did you make the rear crossmember or did you buy it?
💪🏾
Real nice 👍🏾
👌🏾
Where did you get drive shaft crosmember do you have pictures of it with exhaust
I built the crossmember. Jus had some tubing an took to exhaust shop an had them bend it. Fitted it as tight ass possible before I removed body from frame. The exhaust was before rear tires so it wasn't a issue
My '98 Ram 2500 headlights quit working a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping it's just a failed switch and not a fault somewhere else in the wiring harness. I just wish this video showed the removal of the dash panel.
I remember right I didn't remove the dash
My brother has had that truck for couple years now. If I removed the panel I don't remember it being hard jus take ur time.
Did drive shaft crossed rod did it clear exhaust
I have the exhaust before that. An I did that brace bar before I pulled body off. It's really right along the body an driveahaft had plenty of room
I’m having the same problem. Still haven’t figured it out. New battery didn’t help. Reset ecu didn’t help:(
You totally missed the cars in the Cavalcade of Customs 🫤🫤🫤
?
Awesome video. Love the Batman bike, a lot of detail
Bad ass Batman bike
Ya. The detail on airbrushing it all had to take a ton of hours
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 it did, that’s my stepdads bike.
That's awesome dude.
Good to know, thanks
You said bung
I just used welding leads, works great. cut to the right size!
I'm running 17x11 billet specialties on my super sport Monte Carlo and it only sticks out like a half inch and I don't even have a C notch but there is like a quarter maybe 3/8 from the frame but it doesn't rub at all
You have to remove the whole dashboard panel to get to the switch? When you said "just button it up" at 4:35 the dashboard panel suddenly appeared. How hard is that to remove/replace?
Are those high heat zip ties?
Any issue with tires and body?
Nope. Actually plan on lowering car cuz it sits way to hi in the rear
Look at wheel fitment vid I have see more
Battery cable diagram on 1998 Dodge Ram 5.9 gasoline
What size are the front skinny tires
28x4.5 on 15
How'd u stuff a big block in there dif motor mounts?
Same mounts, jus a big block
Work well done, I even like the way you doubled the stock welds!
Super nice, I like what you did. Gave me some great ideas for my Wagon this winter.
Nice!
Badass frame braces!
Thanks man
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 Your welcome!
Headers are a problem even with engines moving around, I never even thought about burned wires. I like the regular exhaust manifold, there may or may not be any noticeable speed or power to my 68 350 Tempest with headers but I would like to quiet the exhaust more than extra power. Exhaust manifold goes straight into stainless dual exhaust to remove extra problems. I'm just getting 200 dollar pipes that connect the factory exhaust manifolds straight to the new duals, plus I replaced the original air cleaner to lessen the annoying exhaust more too.
Are you in Malcom , Montana ?
No
me podrias mandar imagen del arnés para ver como va conectado ya vez que cada cable en el arnés lleva una letra x que el mio esta todo kebrado y kemado y no se como va para conectar el arnés nuevo
Don't know Spanish dude
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 He's says his connectors were all burnt out and he doesn't know how to reconnect the new ones. If there is a letter or number that lets him know what order they connect.
Hey man nice monte monster engine looks good i also have a 79 monte carlo same exzact one like your i havent seen alot of monte like ours cant wait to see more of your videos🔥
Where did you purchase the driveshaft hump brace?
I had one bent to fit. Got some dom tubing. Made jus a curved piece for jus to test fit the hump. Then measured the length to the frame rails an then cut to fit. More then a few trips to a shop with a bender.
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 thanks, appreciate the reply.
No problem. I wanted to jus build one rather then buy a present pipe that probly would of had to of tweeked it to make it fit anyways. An I got my pipe to fit really tight an doesn't come close to what would interfere with drivetrain
I'm having that problem now on my 383 stroker its one boot getting hot touching the headers
Ive watched engine master header challenge where they beat them in an it really doesnt show hp loss when denting in headers for clearance
I’m having the same problem with my 383 melting boots hopefully ceramic boots work
Nice fab work 👍
Thanks
Looks really good can I ask you a question what is the width of the rear end in your chassis?
Its jus a stock 7.5 in it now. Gona get a 9inch fit to a gbody length
Good video what is the width of the rear end that you are using in the car?
Whats in it now is a stock 7.5. Its getting a ford 9" gbody width from quick performance
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 Thanks
On my 454, I got a standard set for I think it was an early 70's big block that came with 90 degree boots. Took a bit of digging to find me, but they work with headers.
Can a burnt wire cause your car to turn off
Yes, a burnt wire can crack thru an start arking off metal an shut car off. It gets coil so hot it doesnt wana run
Would 15 x 10 with 4 inch backspacing fit on a 1985 Monte Carlo ss
Whata your ride height setup?
A 4 inch backspace isgona have the wheels sitting out further. Jus depends how low the car is
It’s all stock setup . And do you think it will stick out too much or kinda like the Monte u got ?
It will jus hangout a half inch further then how mine sits. An if its stock height ahouldnt have to worry about tire hitting
I want it just like how u have it so what do you recommend? I appreciate the help
Ya buddy got similar crossmember in my caprice it's for th400 from gforce. Using umi boxed control arms. Chassis looks awesome great job
I honestly think those boot covers are a joke. I have used them before and still had it burn thru boot to the wire. You might try to fatten the mixture at idle. I have noticed motor runs a tad cooler on the exhaust tubes.
I am still running my big block
I feel your pain, I been there I use accel 9000 ceramic booted and no more burnt wires
Gotta be careful with those ceramic wires they work great with some plug but will slip off others. Also if box was dropped in transit the ceramic boot can arc directly thru the ceramic
How did you fit the wires through the narrow boot?
What do u mean? Thru the heat wrap boot?
So a 15x10 mounted on a N50 tire with 4.00" backspace should fit? I have an 81 El Camino. Stock shock location.
A 4inch backspace is gona have the wheel/tire sitting out alot further. Probly be sitting outside the quarter. So if car lowered it might hit
@@mcbluecollarguy2382 thanks for responding. I'm actually going for the 70's look with Cragar s/s wheels so I want them to hang out a bit.
Nice. Thats cool
Love the set up 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Thanks

275/60 will be the way to go brother I also 5.5 backspacing on a 10 and she Tucks nice and looks right 2 me.
Blue Bu-what car do you have that set up on?
504BOYINTHE614 I have them on a 1980 Malibu. Notched the frame and rolled the fender lip. 295-55r20 no problem Sorry for the late response I don’t know how to get updates when someone makes a post or comment.
Thanks for sharing I just got an 86 Monte Carlo ss i need this same hook up
No prob. Reason I doing vids on build, not alot of detailed vids on what works an what doesnt
