Here you will find wildlife photography, some landscape photography and stories with connection to wildlife.
I retired a couple of years ago. Photography is now my main hobby. I have been a journalist for 45 years and I have been working on a variety of platforms, such as news papers, a news agency, radio and television. My profession is to write and tell stories, but already on my first job I learned to handle a camera.
I am deeply worried about the greenhouse effect, the decreasing numbers of species and environmental problems. My contribution to a better wold is to show the beauty of wildlife.

The Willow Warbler vs The Lesser Whitethroat
It’s time for the small birds. The willow warbler is also the most common small bird i Sweden, there are more than 13 million couples. The lesser whitethroat is not that common, about 200 000 couples. You seldom see them, living in the bushes, but you hear them. They are small and brave, both wintering in south and east Africa. Many of them dies on this tough journey. They diserve a video.

Wart-Biter vs Great Green Bush-Cricket

When I took photos of the bush-crickets I didn’t, at first, know that they were different. Then I saw that one of them had black eyes, the wart-biter. I this video you meet both of them. Enjoy!

The Buzzard is one of the most common birds of prey in Sweden. The White Tailed Eagle was almost endangered some decades ago but has luckily recovered. These photos are taken near the Baltic see in the middle of Sweden.

This butterfly comes all the way from the Mediterranean region, The Red Admiral. It’s rather common in Western Europe and if you have a garden you've probably seen it. I love this butterfly so please enjoy this video.

The Barn swallows are preparing for their flight to Africa. The kids have to be strong. So for days the parents feed them again and again... They are everywhere, on the rooftops and on the telephone wires.

@@peterdahlgren468 Yes, they are interesting and grasshoppers and bush crickets look so cute and harmless. But the one in the picture is actually a swift predator that mainly feeds on other insects.
