Cant recommend a direct drive enough mate if your thinking of one.i went from the g920 to the fanatec csl dd with loadcell brake pedals and the difference is night and day,even just with 8nm

I intend to do more this season in this car and grow to know how they drive. We don't see these cars in Australia as far as I know.

Over the last 35 years the Prototype cars have been my favorites. Case in point, this week's WEC 6-hour endurance race at COTA was separated by just a couple of seconds at the end. Always has been some of the tightest racing. Good to see you're racing in one of them.

Good drive, Trev. Zaid's move was very poor, but vaguely predictable. We could see him getting close and impatient for several laps before the incident. In my opinion it's not worth a protest. It was just a poorly executed, impatient move on a corner that isn't great for overtaking. He didn't leave you anywhere near enough space on the inside and he should feel bad about it. You probably could have survived it if you'd taken a normal line through the corner, staying all the way over to the right on entry. Had he tried to make a dive it's likely he would have carried too much and gone wide, permitting the switcheroo, if not and he got it stopped in time, you'd have been alongside with the advantage into the second part of the chicane. I noticed as well there were a few occasions where you took defensive lines and didn't really need to. My rule of thumb is that unless your attacker is about 0.2s behind or closer, it's not worth defending because they're just not close enough.

Don't knock yourself down, Trev. That was a good effort. While you may have been running in the top 5 for a good stretch, at the end of the day, even when you fell back a bit you made the right calls not to fight too hard to keep the positions, which you only lost because of some unfortunate mistakes on your part. Had you had another 15 minutes or so I'm confident you would have got all 4 of those places back, because that train was bound to turn into carnage. In terms of advice, I feel like you're taking some very shallow lines through a lot of corners, or turning in too early for others. For example, you enter turn 1 very, very close to the inside, which really compromises your entry speed. You can definitely carry a lot more if you open it up, best example of it was on the start of lap 6. The worst example would have been at the start of lap 8. Surtees (T4) is a good example of turning in too early. You can really carry loads of speed down the back straight if you turn in really late and aim for a late apex, lap 5 was almost perfect here, if you'd been on the gas a second or so later you would have been flying! On almost every other lap you're turning in so early that it's really costing you. As I said at the start though, cracking effort mate, coming away with only a 3x for 'off-tracks' in a split like this is a great acheivement and running in the top 5 for as long as you did is brilliant, you'll be finding yourself there loads more once you mop up those last little inconsistencies! Keep your head up, man!

Good race! BTW, you are changing way too late. My Aussie coach told me the optimum speed for the gear change is 82mph or 132kmh. That will get you a few tenths per lap.

Solid driving man, I did the same race the other night with the GR86 and pushed the car too hard and spun out on the section that bends like 3 times in a row. Luckily people around me were paying attention and we all avoided contact. Gotta give this race another try

Good move for P3, mate! Capitalised nicely on his mistake through Turn 1 and picked the right moment to go for it. Well done for hanging on to it for the rest of the race and some good defensive work against that Beamer early on, good effort! Looks like a really fun track, that one, too!

Cracking drive, Trev. Well managed in keeping out of trouble through the inevitable lap 1 mayhem. That white Porsche was always going to cause an accident sooner or later so well done for anticipating the dive into t1 and not getting collected by him.

Hey, even though it was not the best racing session, great job! I don't really think it was your fault when you tried overtaking that one guy, since he should have looked in the mirror to see that you are close and trying to overtake. He could've either let you through or blocked you off earlier (even though that would have been dangerous considering his and your speed). Anyways, I am not that experienced, just thought of giving an opinion on the situation. Good luck for your next race!

Good effort, mate! I was wondering why you weren't clicking the Grid button (I might have been muttering click the button already!"). Don't know how you managed to split your attention between a message from work and being able to talk about the event at the same time. Looks like it worked out for the best, though. Qualified P9 and managed to finish P9, too. Some tasty overtakes in there as well and some good wreck avoidance, too. I daresay I could take a leaf out of your book and learn to be a bit more cautious around the yellow flags!

It's frustrating to see you get run over so often, Trev, because you've clearly got pace to keep up and finish in, at least, the top 10 in these splits. Your qualifying result proves it at least. Go back and have another look at the incident with car #2 on lap 1 at the chicane. It looked to me, frame by frame, that he opened up his steering at the apex to go for the right-hander, despite the fact he would certainly have been able to see you all the way through the first part. If it looks like he opened up his steering - protest it under an intentional wreck - it's not malicious, but his deliberate inputs and his choice to open up the steering put his car through yours and caused the wreck. He had plenty of decision-making time available to avoid that.

Bad luck, Trev. Gutted about getting binned out by #12. It's one of those nasty situations where you can see that he's trying to avoid the collision by braking, but inexperience has taken over and he's probably still steering towards the corner, hoping the car will get some traction and start turning, rather than steering straight (for maximum braking potential) or away (to ensure he won't hit you). Great racing with #21 and #4 though. I suspect that has made up for the torpedoing ever so slightly. At least you didn't lose SR as well!

Cracking race, Trev. Really well driven. Bit of a shame about the collision with Henry but it's always ambitious to go 2 wide through rollercoaster regardless. I understand why you haven't been qualifying recently, but I really believe you could challenge for wins if you can qualify in future and get through the first few corners without being punted! I think the reason the guy in the lead was so far ahead was because, yes, he was comparatively very quick, but also because he never really had anyone challenging him. Whereas you were often defending through Oak Tree, for example, which was slowing you down.

Awesome drive, Trev! Very well done! Definitely had a butt-clencher moment when Nelson and Kealy came together right in front of you and there were some really well done overtakes in there too. Ulrik has absolutley nothing to whinge about, he bottled it all on his own when he saw you sneaking up the inside, the coward!

Cracking drive, Trev. I felt like you were being way too hard on yourself in the early stages of the race, when you were watching Jye disappear off into the distance. But at the end of the day, you kept it consistent enough to secure that podium finish and even put in some very solid defensive work to hang onto P2 in the closing stages. Well driven!

Unlucky, Trev. That dive was a little ambitious, but I can understand the reasoning. You identified that the guy appeared to be braking a little differently and tried to take advantage of it. The worst bit is that would have worked if you were only another car length or so closer when you went for it. Best of luck on the next one, mate!

Ah Trev, that's a heartbreaker, bad luck mate. Definitely a race to forget. At least that kind of stuff isn't happening to you in every video. Chalk it up to bad luck and experience and go into the next one with your chin up!

Great drive, Trev and and even better recovery after your twirl at T4! Well done! I think your man #4 didn't necessarily turn down into you deliberately, to me it looks like he had a bit of an oversteer snap because that car rotated far too quickly to be a deliberate input, it's still entirely on him, but I don't think it was his intention to cut down into you.

Good drive, Trev, strong finish and really well done for staying out of the mayhem on Lap 1. I did burst out with a good chuckle when I saw the lunacy in your mirror at T2! Shame about the minor errors though, I think you could have easily managed P4 if not for those, but that's racing I guess! Also, fun fact, I was in split two for this time slot - we were literally racing at exactly the same time!

Cracking race, mate. Really well managed, save for your L1 pirouette you kept it nice and consistent and balanced aggression with caution well when each was necessary. I definitely agree, I don't feel anywhere near as confident in the tyres in the early stages in the MX-5 after this update, doesn't mean it's a bad thing, just something we have to adjust to. Bad luck mate, I think Damien was being a bit of an entitled, impatient git, honestly. You defended well into Acque Minerali where he wasn't alongside at any point until he put himself on the curb on the outside in the middle of the corner and crashed into you. Then into Variante Alta you were defending the middle of the road (good) he never got alongside (good) so he backs out to try to get a better exit (also good) and then punts you mid-corner because he's not accounted for the reduced speed you'll be carrying because of your line. 100% on him, don't worry about it. Good drive if it weren't for that.

Outstanding drive, mate! Well deserved podium! Brilliant defensive work in the closing laps, managed to keep it consistent and clean even with a big GR86 looming in the mirror!
