Please Twitter I have some questions
Hello, In case you would like more information about the work done and possible reproduction of results. In any case you can contact me through: panos.karvounis12@gmail.com software: github.com/co2block/CO2BLOCK paper: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1750583621002152?dgcid=author database: coming soon... :) Thank you again for watching
My sincere appreciation goes out to all of the presentations, especially Mehdi.
Great talk Deepshikha! Keep up the good work.
Perfect
Thank you so much,@ sunil kumar for your compliment. We can use this methodology to measure the Minkowski functional at pore scale for characterizing the morphology of complex materials. Also, we can use volume-averaged Minkowski functionals to provide macroscale parameters. This methodology can be applicable at a reservoir scale during dynamic conditions by using radioactive tracers.
Can you share the link to some literature where we can get references for your suggestions?
Thank you so much,@ Martin Blunt Your compliment means a lot to me.
There is an internet issues and time lag. Therefore, I was not able to hear you on time. If there is any queries regarding to the my work then I will feel happy to reply by mail. Kindly note my mail id: chz178509@chemical.iitd.ac.in I apologise for the internet connection issues. Thanks.
can one generalize at which resolved permeability which matrix permeability would matter ?
Good question. We could conclude that there are too many variables to derive a generalizable threshold based on permeability only. It highly depends on which type of clays are included in the rock, how these clays are distributed, and which clay geometry is dominant. Curvature and weathering conditions of the main grains (q, fsp, etc..) play a role too. If resolution is good enough to resolve the structure within the operating envelope of XCT (Saxena 2018), the effect of clays on permeability increases with decreasing rock permeability. We're still investigating different clay morphologies to build a sound basis for advanced clay mineral modelling. It may be possible to calculate rock permeability even more accurate when other clay morphologies are incuded as well.
Congrats Paula! Very interesting presentation.

I love how people like you guys are explaining various applications and topics of porous media while there are very few out there who explains and give importance to these topics. Much love and appreciation.
i agree
Very interesting talks - thank you. These seminars are an excellent initiative.
Thank you Martin! That's great to hear. Stay tuned, more to come!
